Thing is he was beasting it up before Shaq even came.

Shaq afforeded him to exert all of his energy on the offensive side of the court. He no longer has to labor keeping the Yao, DHO's, Bynums of the world out of the paint.

Now he gets to man up to guy like Gasol, DWest, Boozer etc... Much more fair for a guy who is 6 ft 9 in.

I cant wait to see us play the Mavs when Dirk has to defend Amare all game.

For what?

For "pimping" him up to the media?

Stoudemire has been doing great all season, even before Shaq.

Now, since they have to accomodate a form of half court interior attack, he has been getting more touches. But he was actually more efficient before Shaq, he's taking more jump shots now since Shaq is down there.

He isnt guarding much bigger men now so he has more energye everywhere else.

Defense, he is still mediocre... but good weak side help.

Ive got say he is beasting right now. His elevation and his ability to create on his own has added to his game.

Now if he played a little defense he can become better then KG.

Look at Amare's stats since February 20th (when Shaq came in town), they SKYROCKETED. It isn't just a coincidence.

This has probably been his best stretch of games since before the injury.

As a player, he's probably more skilled than he was in 04/05, but he's definitely lost some explosiveness. What made him so unguardable before was his ridiculously explosive first step; nobody could stick with him, and that's why you could isolate him in one on one situations. He's lost some of that first step, but he's added a lethal jumper(which was coming around in the Suns/Spurs series 05) to compensate for it. He's probably a little more reliant on Nash than he used to be, but whatever works: dude's a beast.

His athleticism isn't close to what it used to be but he's compensated with a sweet stroke

dude is sick... one of my favorite players... dominant on offense for sure ... i wish he was a little better on d but he can still improve upon that... he is the best offensive big in the game , hes liable to drop 40 on anyone at anytime...

Amare is a BEAST. I never thought he would return to this form. He has a jumper now and is basically unguardable. His knee still worries me though.

He doesn't just ish on people like he used to but he still has above average athleticism.
