Yeah, and Kobe couldnt even beat this Cavs team that lost to the Wizards and the Nets.

We lost to the Cavs last year... what did that prove?
Hell we lost to the Bucks 2 times last year... what does that say?
Honestly you are making a terrible point...

With Gasol going down, Kobe chances are slim to none, as the Lakers can't sustain their high level of play with no inside presence.
Better luck next year.

Last year the top 4 teams in the west (by record) won 80% of their games vs the east. This year that's dropped to 74%. Thus the top of the west isn't as good as it has been in the past.
Last year the top for 4 teams in the east won 56% of their games vs the west, this year that number has jumped to 65%. Thus the top of the east is better than it was in years past.
The middle of the west got better, the top and bottom of the west aren't as good. But the overall balance of east vs west is no different than last year, and not as dramatic as some other seasons.

So Gasol getting hurt makes Kobe less valuable? I will never understand the logic of arguing the award that way, it contradicts the meaning of the word valuable.

There is no top team and mid-tier team on the West. There is no standout elite.[b] They might show in the playoffs. But for now all of them are dead heat.
Instead of looking the top 4 (top 4 can sway everyday in the West). Let us look at the constant. The top 9.
The top 9 in the West vs the East is 166-59 Winning Percentage of [b].737 - That is projected as 60-22 in the West!
Another thing. Making the playoff in the East is so easy. Show me a playoff team in history that is projected to win 34 games? Lol!
