Hawks are fighting for a playoff spot in the east but have only won 1 of the last 7 after a rough stretch of opponents. Their chances get a little better to make a move back into a top 8 spot in the east beginning against us :(

In the last game between these two we got to see a coming out party for Thornton. He had a rough shooting night against Orlando so hopefully he'll bounce back from that woeful shooting performance. Mobley has had some real nice runs in the last two games, so I hope to see that continue.

True that Al had a rough night against the Magic on Wednesday. Hopefully he'll be able to have a better game. The problem for the Clips would be to keep ATL's offense from producing consistancy. Unless the Clips can slow down JJ, Bibby, and Marion Jr. The Hawks may tie the season series for the season.

Al Thornton should have a large contingent at the game since his hometown is in Georgia. This could be an entertaining game with Thornton and Josh Smith going at it. I'd expect the Hawks to outscore the Clippers in this one.

Ah that's right, this Bibby guy is playing for the Hawks now...dude always tears it up against us. I'm assuming a lotta points are gonna be scored here tonight.

^ I think this guy should start over Brevin tonight. It will be interesting to see how AL does in front of his hometown. I expect a huge game from him, Corey and CAT. Anyone know if Kaman is available? :-?

I really hope Smush does not start over Brevin.

I really want to see how Al Thornton does against Josh Smith (if the matchup were to happen).

^DIckau plays NO defense and Brevin isn't at 100% so playing him major minutes would be a bad idea IMHO.

I didn't know Brevin was not at 100%. My fault, but still I'd rather have a 80+% Knight over Smush.

^I agree but at some point Smush will get the starting job even if it's only for this season. Brevin should rest up for the long season he'll have in 08/09.

15-12 Hawks with 5:53 left in the first. Clippers just caught a break as Horford picked up his 2nd foul and will head to the bench.

It's good to see you back on CD :D

36-22 Hawks at the end of the first. That was a sweet crossover and slam by Chill on Ross at the end of the quarter. Smoove & Bibby helped jump start things for the Hawks who have pulled away and built a 14-point cushion heading into the 2nd. 22 points in the paint for the Hawks compared to our 6. ATL also has 14 fastbreak points.

Dickau knocks down a 3 at the buzzer to make it a 15-point game. Hawks lead 63-48 at halftime.

49 seconds into his Clipper debut and Smush picks up a technical.

Technical fouls these past 2 years have been such poppy cock. How the hell do you get a tech for throwing the ball to the ref? It was a damn bounce pass!

Our D hasn't been helping us out much during these past few games, 102-73 Hawks.

Being down 30 isn't good. It seems like we've given up in the 4th the past two games.

Atlanta wins 117-93. Joe Johnson went off on us. We were down 11 at one point in the 3rd but Joe Johnson took over. Didn't seem like we were in it that much. Hopefully tomorrows game will go better.

The Hawks played well inside (66+ inside the paint) and out (9-13 from 3). Joe Johnson was kind of quiet to start things off but then when he turned the switch on it was over. There's not much you can do when your opponent brings the ball up, takes a couple dribbles in the frontcourt and just drains a 28-footer.
