All of those players were WORTHY developing NBA players that were contributing and moving straight ahead in their respective careers never taking HUGE steps backward, Green has regressed. Green has a completely different skill set than all of those players. All of those players are complementary players that are shooters and finishers that excel playing off of the ball. Green is a wannabe franchise player/scorer. He can ONLY attempt to create his own shot. If he fully develops he still will be worthless because even then he wouldn't be a team player, he'd just be Ricky Davis all over again.

A more correct comparison to Green would be someone like a Johnathan Bender without the great height.

how you figure? stephen jax played in europe so how is that not a step backwards. turkoglu took a step back when traded to san antonio. rashard and harringston averages less than 10 ppg. these guys's "skillsets" werent realized until their 4th or 5th year in the league. where do you get that Green is a wannabe franchise player? and how is he not a shooter or a finsiher? and how exactly is jonathen bender a more accurate example since bender was injured and didnt play.

basically your entire reply is off.

Stephen Jackson started 58 games for a NBA championship team his 3rd year in the league. Gerald Green is ALREADY out of the LEAGUE COMPLETELY before the end of his 3rd season in the NBA. Hedo performed better every year that his minutes increased in the NBA, he is having his BEST season this year and also is playing the most minutes that he's ever played while Gerald Green is out of the NBA completely. Gerald Green is just another Tyrone Nesby, Courtney Alexander, Reese Gaines. He couldn't play/contributed to 3 NBA franchise over 3 seasons. Isn't the saying "The third times a charm?" Or is it "Three strikes and YOU'RE OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!"
In this case it's clearly

It is amazing someone with his athleticism can't put it together enough to stick in the league.

That is usually caused by a lack of coachability. If they do not listen to their coaches ... they never get better ... and eventually the coaches give up on them. Now, sometimes they will then wake-up and get another chance somewhere and begin to listen, and work hard and then you get someone coming back from never-never land and becoming a legitimate player. But he now has to get some team to take another chance with him. I think he will get another chance somewhere.

Yes...someone will take a chance again. 22 years old with that kind of physical ability...someone will give him a shot.

I haven't read any stories that he's a JR Rider type of character...did I miss that, or is he just a knucklehead who can't be coached??
