I never said I wouldn't draft him, but his game is so raw offensively and he will struggle defensively at the next level as he adjusts (he goes to block EVERY shot, in college that can work, in the pros people go over or around you and you take yourself out of position) and his hands are god awful (something I all of the sudden dont see getting better). I just don't say how you can want Thabeet over Jordan, even though Jordan is a year younger and if he came back to school would have a MUCH better sophomore season than Thabeet is having. And finally, Thabeet struggles against good teams, something that as a scout would concern me.

Oh I agree I would take Jordan over Thabeet any day. But some people on here act like Thabeet isn't draft worthy at all and that's totally untrue.

Hmmm, I think Hakeem might have something to say about that. Besides, the only comparison with Mutombo was in offensive abilities. You gotta admit, though... 4.5 blocks per game even in college is extremely impressive.

Ramos was drafted in 2004...

I don't. Ramos was never hyped as much as Thabeet. He also didn't have nearly as much potential as Thabeet has.

God, I hope Thabeet will stay another year or two in school. He could really be something special if he does.

Sweatheart DX had an article on him touting him as the next great thing and had him at one time as a top 10 pick.... I didn't say that Thabeet didn't need to stay another cause he does but Ramos had way more hype than Thabeet IMO. Regardless of what we think though to say that he won't go in the first round of the draft is foolish.

I still think staying in the school for another year would be best for Thabeet.

This dude Briggs has been deepthroating Thabeet on the Knicks board all year.

Yawn.

The last "he's improved so much" big to come out of UCONN was Hilton Armstrong, and he has done less than jack so far as a pro.

I'm not convinced he's not just a "what if Saer Sene had gone to college" type guy.

I guess we will find out, but this dude acts like he's a hall of fame big in the making, but it's pure comedy that this fanboy makes a thread entitled "4 out of his last 8 games" then conveniently leaves out four **** performances.

Good work.
