GT: LAC @ WAS -- 3/15/2008

Post#1 » by DallasShalDune » Sat Mar 15, 2008 1:42 am

Date: Some day-of-the-week, since I can't get it right lol
March 15th, 2008
Time: 7:00pm (EST)

Who is going to win??

Our 32-32 Wizards?

PG: Antonio Daniels :P
SG: DeShawn Stevenson :P
SF: Caron Butler, 2 Time Allstar :P
PF: Antawn Jamison, 2 Time Allstar :P
C: Brendan Haywood :P

Honorable Mention: Darius Songaila, since he'd been producing lately. :P

Or the Boats.

PG: Brevin Knight, Former Wizard
SG: Cuttino Mobley :wavefinger:
SF: Corey Maggette :wavefinger:
PF: Josh Powell
C: Tim Thomas :wavefinger:

Honorable Mention: Short-tempered rookie sensation, Al Thorton.

Matchup of the Night:

Nick Young v. Al Thorton
These rookies are going head to head, and both can score lights out when they're hot, but look like hairy bums when their cold. I hope its a hot day for our young gun, and so much so, that their hairy bum will decide that milk was a bad choice for such a scorcher (Bad Anchorman reference, but hey, it's good stuff)

X-Factor(s) for our Wizards:
Andray Blatche, Nick Young, and Roger Mason Jr. (And Darius Songaila)Yes, once again, I'm giving it to our bench. That has really been a light under our tails for the past few wins. Let's hope our boys off the bench can keep it up.

Can we make it a Trinity of wins?
--------------------------

I predict a Win, by 15. Young scores a career high, peeps. I'm calling it.

Love these 'wagging finger' emoticons for the Clippers players.

But I think, unless we play with no energy or effort, this should be a win. With Butler back, I have an odd sense of confidence that we can and will win most of our games.

Wizards need to start stringing together wins in this vital stretch here. It's key that we don't get caught by the Sixers, sadly this will most likely mean us passing the injured Raptors and snagging the fifth seed forcing us to play LeBron and the refs again.

Seeing Caron on the floor Thursday gave me the feeling that this year long injury nightmare is finally coming to an end.

Any new word on Arenas? He said on Thursday that he could've played that night. Knowing Gil, he'll probably be back against Detroit on national TV.

It's ON. Next time we lose (assuming we will lose another game), you make the game-thread.

Oh, you can talk the talk.

But can you walk the walk?!

guys guys guys... Don't worry. My minimalist approach to the "game thread" is keeping us in the win column every night. I plan on stringing about, oh, 21 or so together, to get us up there with Houston. lol

But seriously, I think we can string a little win streak together, especially when Gilberto returns and turns the Hibachi on.

And as long as we stay relatively HEALTHY.

Go Wiz

I'm so happy there is a Wizards game today. It's so nice out, and I've been sick so I can't go out. This s the first place I came to make sure the game was today.

Could we see Gil? Probably not, he's still got swelling and soreness. I don't want him back until he can play wothout that.

I don't know why you say "sadly" we could get the fifth seed and play the Cavs. I personally want the Wiz to play the Cavs in the first round with a healthy Gil and Caron. I think we match up pretty well with them and can beat them. Also, after seeing them kick us out of the playoffs two years in row, I would love to see the Wiz get a little revenge and send the Cavs and LeBron packing.

We need to win this game, the last thing we need is for the 76ers to catch us. But we also don't want to catch the Raptors in the standings.

Wow, what a gift game. We get the Clippers at home coming off the second game of a b2b on the road. Should be a slam dunk win.

Thursday night was a gigantic win, make no mistake. However, truthfully, if Detroit couldn't stop LeBron in the playoffs last season what makes you think we can? DeShawn did a terrific job but do we really know if he can do slow down the King again?

I don't want to get beaten 3 straight times, I would rather face a very in-experienced Orlando team.

Screw that. I want the Raptors spot. Shut those damned Cavs fans up for once. Where do they get off saying they own us? The only team in the East that could say that over the past few years is the Heat. I could relish nothing more than to send Queenie home on his bronze backside.

That will be really hard to do with Arenas limping around the court. We'll need a full strength Hibachi attack if we were to win the series. Offensively they wouldn't be able to stop us while our defense has picked up this season so it wouldn't be a scoring fest.

I wish we never got all beat up last season, we really could've made our names known. Guess, as with all DC sports, luck isn't on our side.

THAT'S THE SPIRIT!

Love it when the real fans start to get chesty again. Welcome back JWiz.

Me I want the Cavs. I'll take 'em in the first round, I'll take 'em in the second round, I don't give a crap. We got too much healthy hate built up to let it fester. I want the Cavs so bad. There's too much revenge chambered and holstered and itching to trigger-pull. If we're not slated to get them 'til after round one-- doesn't matter, that just means we have to wait a minute before we kick their ass. But I want 'em something nasty. DSteve set the tone. And L_boogie ain't on their team anymore so it's not just a friendly game between pals. Gil may think he's okay with LeBron, freet hrows aside, but I much prefer watching Big Wood give him a healthy forearm check and make him stagger off sulking to his coach, whining to the refs. And I much rather hear DSteve give him the healthy F-U overrated whiny bastid.

We can take 'em. And take anybody in our way keeping us from taking 'em: Orlando, refs, whoever.

Can't stand 'em.

Seriously. I've never seen a group of fans who are more full of themselves for no apparent reason than Cavs fans. They truly feel like they have our number. After all - they have "owned" us two years in a row. Another year would just be another notch in their Wiz-belt.

Only thing about wanting to face the Cavs again in the first round is if we beat them- yes that would be absolutely wonderful; however if we lose, let's just say its going to be one LONG offseason. To you guys that want Cleveland in the first round, are you prepared for that?
