Big minutes for Sam tonight?

Post#1 » by Hemingway » Sat Mar 15, 2008 11:25 pm

With Ray recently hurt and probably not playing, what are your thoughts on giving Sam some big minutes?

I'm all for it. Don't get me wrong, I like the easing the new guys in. But for one game against a crappy bucks team, why not start Sammy?

Well, Ray Allen was out for most of the game last night and Cassell didn't even get close to the court. I think the beneficiary or Ray's injury will be Tony Allen.

If Ray Allen is out for tonight and maybe a few more games, hopefully this give a chance for TA to get some rhythm and confidence. I thought he turned the corner after the all star break as he played really well for a few games, but since then he has been struggling. TA has always seemed to play better when he starts so hopefully these game(s) that Ray misses lets Tony get going and give him a big confidence boost because we are going to need him playing well going into the playoffs.

Tony should be able to get what he wants with Redd guarding him. Pierce should bounce back with a big game also.
