Kings Consensus Mock Draft

Post#1 » by deNIEd » Sun Mar 16, 2008 1:41 am

Saw this on the T-Wolves board, and thought like it'd be fun/interesting

Dr.Krapinsky wrote:The draft thead is so scattered with opinions that it's difficult to get an idea what the consensus is among posters of who they think the Wolves should draft. Here, we can vote one by one based on draft position who the wolves should take. We'll start with the first pick. Once a player gets ten votes, we'll mark that player down as the wolves first choice, and go on to the next possible choice. Try to keep track and keep the format consistent. It should get more interesting once we get to the third pick and so on...

Let's try it? Assuming the King's pick can land anywhere between 1-20 and assuming as of now, all players will declare. (Realistically, we will be a 12 seed, but very likely 6-8 players won't be in the draft) You may vote once per round

Format
Pick 1 - (Player Name) (# of Votes) (Player Name) (# of Votes) and so forth until 1 player has 10 votes, and then List the already picked players, and continue on.

So

NBA 2008
1st Pick
- Michael Beasley (1)

*Include how many votes have been for that player so far*

So far its

#1 Pick - Beasley (3)
*Once it gets to 10, move on to round 2 and so forth...
it'll be interesting once we get to 3 on

This is pointless until after the Lottery. How the lottery shakes out totally hinges on who goes where and when.

And who actually declares of course. Guys like Mayo are saying they may stay. Donte Green is staying. James Harden too. It may be a pretty weak draft class out of the top 5 or so if others stay too.

Yep, in May we'll have a better idea of who's where and who's in and what'll happen. It's just extremely premature to try and attempt this NOW. Wait til after the tourney, the draft lottery and who's declared for the draft...then there will be some dropouts and all, but we'll have a MUCH better idea of how things will shake out. It's just a waste of time trying to attempt doing this now
