Well that is one hell of skirting the question. Its not about what he does percentage wise. Its about his aggresiveness. We need to win and we need him to step up and attack with his % being secondary. Your post is a contradiction because if he wants to do what it takes to win he is not going to worry about his FG%. Good players, great players play hard on every possesion and if he does this and he is good enough he will help us win. Not him being passive at the risk of being a "volume shooter" which it totally off base to begin with.

Aggressive to the point of taking bad shots when someone like Sasha or Farmar is wide open in the corner for a 3 will not make the team better.

Smart aggression and at the same time having the vision and ability to recognize certain teammates who are wide open will make the team better.

So i agree he has to be aggressive, but not to the point of volume shooting.

^ Odom hurts the team when he doesn't shoot or passes off to another shooter, especially against good defenses that will key in on that. If he doesn't hit his open jump shots in the playoffs, which he has never done, it's game over for the Lakers. Another season of failure for Odom. etc.
