This has to be an exaggeration, right? I don't see how this is even remotely possible, considering 95 percent of the footage would have to be of the bootleg variety cobbled together from who knows where.

If not, please tell me who your hookup is, because I've got some business to send their way.

A very large percentage of it is low-quality bootleg stuff, yes. And yes, 1,096 is a lot of games... and a lot of tapes/DVDs that I mostly don't own. I have some DVDs. Give me a PM, I'll see what I can rustle up for you.

My guess with tsherkin before his response: He's probably the only one on RealGM enough in love with the game to do it.

I've seen a huge chunk of Magic's games, and a lot of the other legends, particularly of the 80's and 90's. I love watching these guys play, don't care how bad the quality is

I find nothing objectionable whatsoever with the opinion that Magic and Oscar are on one high level of PGs while guys like Stockton and Zeke and Payton and Frazier and Kidd and Nash are on the next level...where you happen to place them is very debatable and I'd have no real argument on where they were placed.

:D

The only players I'd do that for besides Magic are Bird and Shaq.

OK, maybe Karl Malone, Hakeem Olajuwon and Wilt.

But that's it. Magic's my favorite player of all-time, I grew up waiting with baited breath for the next game on network television, especially Lakers/Celtics, it kind of stuck.

I believe this should be the correct statement of Pistons fans as well. As I have gotten older my respect and admiration of Stockton has grown considerably and I no longer dissmiss the notion that Stockton was or is on par with Isiah.

My argument agaisnt Stockton has always been that Isiah put up the greatest apg season on a lousy team and his assts didnt lead to more wins. As Isiahs APG came down his Ws went up and that head to head Isiah completely destroyed Stockton. As a pistons fan there were 2 games that you knew Isiah was going to have a big night. Those 2 Jazz games always left no question as too who the 2nd best PG was. Having only seen the Jazz once or twice a yr you cant appreciate his greatness when all you ever see is him in foul trouble and and being competely ineffective. The same argument was held vs MJ. When MJ is being outplayed by Isiah, Dantley, and Dumars you tend to think hes overrated and that 50pts he put on the Kings the week before as an abberation. Most people saw MJ maybe 4 or 5 games a yr and thats not a big enough sample to judge someone.

I see what you mean . . . the stat lines are an exaggerated version of their normal stat lines but with the one key stat of FG% reversed! However, Stockton's Jazz won more than half the games according to the HtH comparisoms I looked up. 8)

Isiah Thomas Per Game 7-8 w-l 32.3mpg .507fg% .350 3pt%
3.3rpg 6.9apg 1.4spg 0.1bpg 3.5to 3.2f 21.1ppg
