Shaq in 2k was the best season I remember, even better than late 80s jordon.

The year tmac put up mvp numbers,

if you watch the games, it wasnt just numbers, its like he dominated the flow of the game...whether its driving to the hoop or pulling up for a jumper...look at how many player he abuse in h2h matches....thats was just outrageous

compared to lebron padding

Look at how many TEAMS LeBron abused single handedly. Not to mention Laker games, which he outplayed Kobe. If you are outplaying the arguably best player in the game you should at least get some respect. You can't say it's stat padding because it's obvious either you're not watching the games or you hate the guy.

McGrady must have really controlled that flow in the playoffs too, since he's been so deep in the playoffs so many times...oh wait.

I would think that the real padder would reveal himself come playoff time...when you dont even have the option of padding.

I agree I remember that year T-Mac dropped 40 points on my Wizards at half! I was sat their with my jaw open, still have the game on tape because I'm a Magic and T-Mac fan also. He finished with like 68 pts and sat out once the game was double digits. He didn't pad his stats that season or play in games out of reach like Lebron sometimes does.

Show me some games this year where LeBron played when the game was clearly out of reach...

And you know what? T-Mac scored 62 points that night, shot 37 times, 26 FT's and he played almost whole game (46 minutes)...that's some serious "stat padding" right there, isn't it?

funny, a guy with Kobe in his avatar complaining about stat padding. Remind me again how long Kobe played after the game was decided on his 81 point night? I'm not even knocking Kobe for firing them up that night, it's just a bit odd to see Kobe fans accusing anyone of stat padding after their guy had the historic stat padding game of the generation.

Sometimes LeBron does stay in the game an extra minute or so after it's been decided (that's mike brown's paranoia about comebacks, not LeBron's decision), but it's pretty rare that he does much in that time. Once the game is out of reach, he generally steps back does little. His recent 50 point game is a perfect example. He was on fire, had just hit 50 in the garden to go up 11 with just over a minute left and had plenty of time to go for 55, but who takes the last few shots? Damon Jones.

Kobe fans are the biggest hypocrites in existence. Kobe is constantly in games that are already decided. Less so this year, but he still does it.

Hakeem has I believe 2-3 seasons. One I think is better is
89-90- 24.3 points 14 boards 2.9 assists 2.12 steals 4.59 blocks shooting 50.1%.
Also 92-93, 93-94.
http://www.nba.com/playerfile/hakeem_ol ... index.html

You guys seem to forget anyone of the dominant big men from the 90s. If you said wing players or something, yes it is the best since MJ. Taking into account PF/C's it isn't. You also forget defense. As good as you homers may think LeBron is on help defense, his man defense is far from good. So he played motivated vs. Kobe on D a few times, that makes him better? At LeBron's size and skill level (top 2 in league) he should easily be a top defender in the league.

Just look at this stat line from David Robinson in 93-94.
29.8 points 10.7 boards 4.8 assists 1.74 steals and 3.34 blocks.

You can say these years are about equal or a bit worse but taking into account defense, they are better in my eyes. Of course, you as a LeBron fan are going to say he is better hands down this year but I don't think it is the best since MJ.

Edit: Yea as some1 else said, Magic's MVP year in 88-89 as well.
22.5 points 12.9 assists 7.9 boards 1.8 steals shooting 50.9% and 91% at the foul line.

In that one game against the Knicks, he made that half court shot when he should have just dribbled out the clock like any non-stat padder would have done.
