They sure seem to have a lot of upcoming public appearances for such a crappy team.

Last night I tried to get a photo with Bogut but there were just too many people wanting the same thing. Perhaps a Saturday night game vs the Celtics isn't my best bet.
Yeah, a Wednesday game would probably be your best bet.

One time a couple of years ago I went to a Pick n Save and Gadz happened to be there. He was sitting at a table by the door and there was one person talking to him. I don't think they do much in terms of promoting these appearances. So, yeah, I think it's probably a good place to meet a player.

I think I am going to go meet Charlie Bell on Thursday. I live very close to the Sam's club he is going to be at so it would be cool. I am not a member though so I hope they let me in to see him. I will try to get a picture and talk some basketball with him. Its funny, after everything is said and done, he is still one of my favorite players cause he really seems like a man of the people. Besides his effort on a day to day basis is much better than most on the team so I have a hard time faulting his hustle and effort.

So I just met Charlie Bell. GAD showed up as well but Bluejeep and Nowak didn't make it. Here are the pictures.
Charlie and I
Gad and Charlie
So Charlie was a cool guy I must say. We told him we were RealGMer's and who we were and he knew GAD right away of course. He mentioned that they are still trying hard and felt bad that the season has gone the way it has gone. He said he deserved the crap we were giving him early on cause he played bad to start. I told him how I almost planned on sending him the JJ Reddick shooting video early in the season and he was like "Oh man." He found it funny and we laughed about how Reddick even has a shooting video. He has pretty big hands for being just 6'3" from what I could tell when I shook his hands. Overall I am glad I met him. He seems like a normal guy who was very kind, light hearted, and giving with his time. He is the kind of guy you would like to have as a friend just based on the fact that he is very humble considering he is an NBA player. If you read this Charlie, I'm glad to have met you. Now come back and post again sometime.

Yes, glad to finally meet you in person.
bigkurty lives right around there, so it was an obvious no brainer for him to go there and meet you.
But I live in New Berlin though and was originally justifying the 40+ mile car trip because I intended to go hang out with Nowak and BlueJeep around there afterwards and watch the NCAA tournament games somewhere.
I only tend to see those folks after weekend Bucks home games since they live down in Racine. BlueJeep was sick though and Nowak was planning on carpooling with him and didn't come either, so as it turns out I drove 20+ miles, hung out with you and bigkurty for 15 minutes, chatting in between autograph seekers (I could care less about your autograph, no offense, I'm not much of an autograph person, I just wanted to shake your hand, get my picture taken with you, and chat for a bit), then got back in the car and drove 20+ miles back.
In those circumstances, I would have probably had to rate that trip as a failure, with most of the players on the Bucks roster anyway.
I'll rate the trip as being absolutely worth it though. You're a cool guy. I could be wrong, but I'm guessing it may have been refreshing to get to interact with fans who were being real with you (as bigkurty said, we teased you about the gag bigkurty thought of a while back about sending you the Better Basketball J.J. Reddick video, among other things... but we did make sure to give you props for snapping out of that funk and playing well lately... I don't people to think we were just giving you a hard time there).
I really enjoyed your first two seasons here (especially the first one) and even though this past summer and fall proved to be a rough patch, things have righted themselves since then and I think past disagreements are behind us and I sincerely hope that it turns out you get to play out your current contract with the Bucks and perhaps stay here beyond that too.
