Last time I checked it was their board, and who really cares anyway. Your acting like a six year old.

Kirk Snyder was pretty underwhelming when he was actually in tonight.

Good game. You guys just don't feed it to Al Jeff enough.
Why does Jaric always light us up and since when did Brewer make 15ft shots? That was a nice improvement in his game, even though I still think you took him too high.
Foye had a nice statline tonight, but was pretty underwhelming. He is very shifty but just hasn't worked off the rust yet on his jumper. I can see why you guys like him so much and he is a nice rebounding point guard. I still do not think a Rose/Foye backcourt would be very effective though.

GG guys.. You've got the foundation to be a damn good team in the future.. I was sitting at the game looking onto the court mid way through the 4th and was just stunned that I didnt see either Al OR Foye.. Wittman needs to learn how to coach soon or you guys need to move forward this offseason in that area.. Good luck the rest of the way, and in the lottery as well

I apologize for Farzi's trolling guys.

As for the game, I think you guys are turning the same corner we did a few years ago where you could see the spark but you just couldn't put it together for an entire game. From my observations, I could see you making a few moves to get more outside shooting to open up more space for Al. Other than him, though, I must admit I find the pieces you have a bit incongruent so even though I know a lot of you guys are high on players like Foye and Gomes and the rest. I wouldn't be surprised if there were wholesale changes to get players who can play better together. The individual talent level is high enough to be more competitive than you are right now, but the pieces don't seem to fit. This, once again, is a lot like it looked in Portland a few years back.

I know it's hard waiting, but I'm confident that it will be Portland, Utah and Minny dominating the NW division for the next decade.

I definitely have to agree with my fellow Blazer counterparts. The timberwolves have a very nice future and while I'm not sure if Whitman really fits into the future of the Timberwolves, you guys have some very nice young core that should become a top team down the road especially with the addition of a top pick in this year's draft (I personally think Rose would fit the Timberwolves better than anyone else but it's a matter of opinion of course). Here's to hoping for a very competitive rivalry in the near future!

I appologize for my actions the past 2 game threads. They weren't really called for. I participate on some other forums where that behavior is common place, and i shouldn't have let that carry over.
Thank you for all the memories BRoy. You were a class act and brought hope to an entire region for 5 years. You will be missed.

Even though I never really got into it with you, I think I speak on the Wolves board behalf when I say thank you and that this season has been tough and I really hope that we are able to start putting it together relatively soon and that the Wolves and Blazers meet in the WCF for the next decade.

Question for Wolves' fans:

I've read quite a bit that indicates Minnesota is aiming for major cap-space in the 2009 off-season.

Well, both Ryan Gomes and Craig Smith will be restricted free agents this summer (along with Telfaire, Richard, & Snyder)

Do you thint the Wolves will 'match' any offers for Gomes and Smith, even if the offers are near MLE level? Matching both could definitely impact cap-space.

Foye with yet another near triple double. It's only a matter of time for that.

practically every team will have 09 cap space. nobody. i mean NOBOODY will sign with a crappy team in a small, cold market.

unless mchale offers them a rashard lewi$ contract

That's a good question. I think the answer for Gomes is probably "yes," but if Craig Smith got an offer near the MLE, I don't think we'd match. We all love Craig, especially since he was a 2nd round pick that made ESPN's Top 10 Rookie list last year, so he constantly outperformed our expectations at a bargain price. However, the fans here are split on keeping him, because he would be exclusively a back-up PF behind Al. I should also say that not many of us expect he gets a near-MLE offer, and most would keep him for a reasonable price.

The other point that most fans from other teams are unaware of is that even if we go right up to the lux, and spend $13 mil on new contracts, we still have cap money coming in the summer of 2009. Walker ($9 mil) and Buckner ($4 mil) are both expiring contracts, and Juwon Howard ($5) and Troy Hudson ($5) both come off the books, for a total of $23 mil. Some of that money (let's say "$6") would be required for signing our three first rounders next season, and we might extend McCants, but my point is that a lot of cap space will be there whether we sign (alias) Smith and Gomes.

I hope to keep both (and Telfair), but I wouldn't match any of them for the MLE.

I was at the game and it seemed like Brewer was dropping everything. Is this not a usual game for him? Cuz if I remember correctly, there is usually a fair amount of bashing on him in your game threads...
