Anyone who says that Kobe will not win as many rings as Jordan (including me) is already saying that Kobe couldn't dominate the way Jordan did....only dumb Kobe homers will not acknowledge that.

Jordan is easily the greatest ever (and I don't use easily very often), but to say Kobe will NOT WIN AT ALL given the supporting cast that MJ had? Well if that's not disrespecting (not just Kobe), but the game of basketball, then I don't know what is.

anyway I don't mean to attack you or get personal... you're entitled to your opinion (even if it's totally blinded by pure haterade)

I see. So I say Kobe would win zero and I'm a hater. Yet somebody says Kobe would easily win 4-6 and that's alright? I'm not taking away from Kobe as much as I'm paying due to Jordan. I don't think a single guard/wing player in the game today could do what he did at that time. And in most cases, the Bulls needed Jordan to be super-human to win all those titles.
It took 10 frickin' years, but we've finally got a legitimate franchise player to lead us back to the top.

Well urmm yeah... I already said I agree with J23F (which is quite rare when it comes Kobe vs Jordan comparisons). For once I actually think his assessment is somewhat valid, though of course being a Laker fan I'd up those odds. I said 4-6 instead of his 2-4 is because of 94 and 95' which MJ didn't play....

I (along with most sensible Laker and basketball fans) agree with you that no single guard / wing player in the game could do what Jordan did... but to say they will win NONE with Kobe? You're saying that the Bulls team without MJ is just absolutely horrendous? Do I need to bring up 1994?

Are you discounting the fact that all those Bulls teams had either the Coach of the Year, the league's leading rebounder, the best 3 point shooters, multiple ALL-NBA defense in Pip and Rodman, sixth man of the year or a combination of these and had a solid team defense (if not one of the best in the league)?

Putting Kobe on those teams will automatically take away those accomplishments?

Wait wait! allow me to reply to my own question!

Kobe would've broken apart that team a long time ago before they got those accomplishments. Look at what he's doing with the Lakers this year. He hasn't even gotten better than 5th seed in the West or out of the 1st round with all that talent! Oh wait I mean last two years... Well the truth is his inefficiency compared to Jordan will pull everyone else down and the Bulls will only be a mediocre 35 - win team at best. But anyway ANY basketball fan can see that Kobe sucks and will never amount to anything other than a ball-hogging-bad-shot-selection-showmen whose defense is based on nothing other than reputation.

Sure MJ did a lot of superhuman things and carried the Bulls more times that I can remember... I loved watching him play and I jumped on the Bulls' bandwagon like everyone else in the 90s' (I actually a lot of their games on DVD), but don't disrespect the rest of the team.

Anyway I probably should stop replying because I don't like making people look stupid and I'll probably end up getting banned if I'm going to say anymore... :starwars
