I used to think the abc announcing team sucked but ...

The team has improved this year. They should really keep these three....breen improved his commentary alot and although I used to hate mark jackson, I think hes gotten better at color commentary aswell. JVG also helps ALOT...im beginning to like abcs coverage for the first now now.

i love jvg. i don't get the mark jackson hate.

he isn't afraid to call players out, and i enjoy that. jackson and jvg are fun together.

jvg used to coach the rockets, so excuse him a little today. i don't think it was that bad really. he was giving the rockets props like they should be given. 22 games in a row is amazing.

ppl dismiss that team, but they all have grown with adelman, and its not the Tracy Mcrgrady show anymore.

and battier needed some love. imo, he's better than bowen or artest.

i've seen two games in a row where he's did a remarkable job. against peja and now kobe.

imo, they are winning again tuesday. boston is amazing, but they'll be tired after the spurs, like most teams are and the rockets are playing like out of some movie.

TNT's has a way better studio coverage , but i don't really like their commentators besides Marv and he can't do it all alone .

besides the pregame show...tnts announcing crew is really overated.....doug collins and kevin harlan are great....marv albert has really lost a step imo. I really do think abc has the best single game announcing team in basketball....cant wait till the finals. (Every other abc team sucks though)

Marv's only good with someone who complements him but Miller and Fratello really suck .

Sometimes it's like only Marv's talking for 10 minutes then he trys to give the other two a hint for something to talk about but somehow they'll never get it. Very often Fratello and Miller talk about complete nonsense.

Well they do kinda suck big time, only JVG and Marc Jackson are good team!

Hubie Brown I cannot stand, because he states the obvious:

I hated Jackson last season but I don't find him anywhere near as cocky as he used to be (and I watch the games he calls for the Nets too). JVG is awesome. OH, and no more pussycat dolls!!!!!!! ABC's broadcasts are really tolerable this season, but far away from NBC.

Marv Albert is still the best play by play commentator and the color commentators from TNT are much better then those from abc.

Van Gundy is a clown, I like his honesty, but his opinion ultimately means little. Maybe I am living in the past, but give me Bob Costas anyday. To me, game announcing is just as important as background music in a movie, it sort of expresses emotions that the players can't and when you have Van Gundy being goofy all game, it takes away a sophistication toward the game.
