That was an amazing game, Jamison put on a show. And great coaching by Eddie Jordan

Have to disagree with you on the coaching job...

Seems to me that all the heroic efforts could have been avoided if Jordan would have just put ONE legitimate bigman in the game during that 4th quarter stretch when the Zards had zero inside presence and couldn't grab an offensive rebound to save their a$$.

That was also the stretch when the Wizards stopped giving up wide open looks on the perimeter. Just took a look back at the play-by-play, from 8:33 to 4:49 in the 4th neither team scored.

Also, the choice of "legitimate big men" at that point would be Blatche and...Pecherov? And it really wasn't one of Andray's better games.

Who would that have been? Haywood and Thomas were out and Blatche was horrible? Who is the big guy with the paint presence to bail us out? There was none. It was up to AJ. It was going to be Jamison or nobody.

Yeah, your right... I didn't realize Songaila was doing all the little things Blatche is incapable of during that stretch... Let's revue:

Yeah... I'm sorry... 8 minute of Blatche down the stretch would have been far worse... what the hell was I thinking... Blatche a more legit bigman than Songaila I must be losing my mind, but the stats have brought me back to my senses.

I still remember last year's playoffs.

Haywood and Blatche hardly played at all.

This season it seems pretty clear to me with Songaila playing 18 minutes and Blatche 5 today against ATL that EJ still sees Andray as a lesser option than Darius Songaila, including at C.

Yeah... Well... Who can blame EJ really...
Blatche could never match Songaila's 3 boards and 4 points in 18 minutes.

And lets not forget the little things that don't show up on the stat sheet... like Songaila's ablility to alter shots and keep balls alive with those long arms... EJ's the Man! Trade Blatche for a ham sandwich... who needs him! Oh, and throw in Haywood as cap filler.
