Post#1 » by Sebzor » Mon Mar 17, 2008 12:20 pm

M. Redd/B. Simmons/M. Williams/37th pick
-for: S. Marbury/J. James/W. Chandler/5th pick/35th pick

Best case:
Bayless
Westbrook
Chandler
Yi/Villaneuva
Bogut/Dorsey

Worst case:
Singletary
Westbrook
Randolph/Chandler
Yi/Villaneuva
Bogut

I don't want to know about the inner-workings of the scenario that ends up with us starting Singletary at point guard. I'm not even convinced he should be drafted.

I don't know anything about the specific prospects you are targeting, but I would generally be in favor of any Redd deal that involves shipping out Simmons and receiving a top 7-ish pick and 1 or 2 year contracts in return.

so we trade Redd for a more selfish player I thought we were going away for those type of players.

Marbury is an expiring contract; not a player.

Marbury wouldn't even see the court in Milwaukee. We'd hold onto that massive expiring contract and either let it run out, or use it next February in a trade to net more talent or picks.

can we waive him and just pay him for that season I do not want him in a Bucks jersey. ....I would rather have in a bucks uni then Redd that shows how I feel about Redd.

You can waive him, but that wouldn't be smart, because his contract might be worth a fortune at the deadline. I'd rather put him on the inactive list, unless he wants to agree to a buyout at 80% of his salary or something like that.

I think you're a bit too hyped about the upcoming draft Sebzor. This is sort of what I'm like in NBA 2k7, I'll trade for 15 draft picks and just fill the team up each season.

I am the same usually for the first 5 season in 2k I will average at least 3 first round picks each year I would continue to do that until those drafft picks turn into superstars.

I think it's a really good idea, but it seems like we could do alot better in the draft. I think bayless is quality, but if we have an opportunity to pick up eric gordon or oj mayo would you want to pass on that? I think that dorsey in the second round is exactly what we need too, someone who defends, rebounds, hustles for the sake of winning, not getting the ball on the other end. I think westbrook is legit, but I don't see his skill set and his size as turning into a very high potential.

Lol That's a terrific name if Herb is referring to Herb Kohl.^^

Yeah, that's a dream scenario. Only if Simmons was an expiring, only if. We could use him as a Lafrentz or Ratliff trade piece then. I think Redd and a pretty big expiring contract could net us a nice draft pick. Just Redd himself though I don't see going for any higher than a 10th or so.
