Wow, how is this a comparison? First of all, the stats aren't the truth. The Rockets have been so good in these last twenty, he hasn't needed to score. Before that I think he was like 24.5/6/6. It has dropped because of the lack of need of scoring. IMO Caron is not even close.

This comparison isn't close, and don't use statistics thats like saying "ooo Kevin Martin scores more points, lets trade him for Tmac." no thats not how it works...just have the two players switch sports, which team would win MORE games and which team would LOSE games? Yeah its obvious Tmac > Butler.

This is a Joke. T-mac by a landslide. T-mac has become the most underrated player in the game by this messageboard.

Butler is not a good comparison. Guys like Kobe/Iverson/Wade would be a better comparison.

^^^ In name only.

I'm not saying T-mac isn't better, but look at what Caron was doing for his team early in the season, he was carrying them very very well. He goes out and they start to lose a lot, and he was also doing it with out the best player on his team in Arenas.

It's closer then people would like to admit.

Wrong, but we sure do appreciate you shooting numbers at us from the hip. His best month has been this one statistically:

Look toward the Bottom, at March Averages

So that theory is bunk. I do agree that stats aren't everything, however, and despite the considerable intangibles that Tough Juice brings to the Wizards, T-Mac has him bested head-to-head by a considerable margin.

t-mac averaging 22 point and takes 19 shot per game, Caron averaging 21 point and takes 17 shot per game, so you cant use that argument.

Ok obviously you know more than me even though you don't watch the Rockets. If he needed to score, he would score. Caron isn't close, I don't care what the stats say.

I rather have T-Mac on my team, but that argument only works if a player isn't taking a lot of shots. He's fortunate his team is playing so well he hasn't needed to make a lot of them, but he's still taking the shots.

T-Mac ... but if an explanation is even required ... he's playing the best basketball of his career at this moment, I'll ride that right into the playoffs ...

Best basketball of his career? I'm going to have to disagree with that one. Team wise this is the best of his career, but it's not like he's the sole reason they're winning. He has had some poor games and they still win.

Caron is a really nice player, but he really can't be compared to McGrady. They play completely different roles. McGrady is an actual leader now. Caron can be a go-to guy at times, but he doesn't have the leadership qualities that Tracy holds.

The thing about comparing McGrady now is that numbers don't mean as much as it used to. McGrady doesn't look for his own shots like he once did. He doesn't even care if he doesn't get an assist on his box score. He just plays to win now.
