Post#1 » by Martin » Tue Mar 18, 2008 2:53 pm

How many players are there in the league currently and how many have played in the league since it's birth?
I need to know it for my research.
Sorry if I posted this in the wrong place.
Thanks

250 something? I guess 350 would be more accurate since there are 30 teams and each team holds atleast 12 players

15 * 30 = 450.

Roughly about 450 players.

Minimum is 360.
Maximum is 450.

I'd say around 405.

Since not all teams have 12 or 15 players, i'd average it out and say there are about 400 players currently signed by NBA teams.

Just go to Basketballreference.com. If anyone or any site has this kind of information, it would most likely be them.

If you go to NBA.com and head to the players section there are a total of 430 listed players (players who played in the league earlier in the season but who are not playing in the league RIGHT NOW such as Eddie Gill for example ARE NOT on the list of players).

It used to be. Now that I'm majoring in Engineering, I'm forced to be good when it counts. 8)

i don't support this, but if you are doing research on how many players there were ever, you could make up the number and just say you counted wrong when confronted.
