I'm not confident that Flowers would dominate Mayo.
I have to say that if Mike Kelley never got even a sniff of the NBA, I'm not sure how much of a market there is for little guys who defend well but don't do anything else. Those kinds of guys would get overwhelmed in the NBA where even small guys like Sam Cassell are 6'4 210.
I think that the NBA thinks you have to be at least 6'6 to be a successful defensive specialist. I can't really think of a shorter guy who is in the NBA solely for his defensive abilities. I guess they like a guy to be able to guard more than 1 position if they are going to waste a roster spot on a one-dimensional player.

Yep
In college, many shooting guards are the size of Flowers, in the NBA, many are much bigger and some PG's are to. Hell, even Michael Redd could eat up Flowers, much less Kobe.
