Lotto Update (March 18, 2008)

Post#1 » by paulpressey25 » Wed Mar 19, 2008 2:48 am

Here's our weekly update. This link has the standings in reverse order:

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/standings ... asontype=2

5. NYK 19-48
6. LAC 21-45
7. Milwaukee 23-44
8. Charlotte 24-43
9. Indy 26-41

We still haven't made much ground up. After tonight we still have a shot at the Knicks but it will be tough.

Only one game in the L column behind Clip Show. Just keep doing what you're doing Milwaukee.

Some teams are surging late, and some have packed it in (purposely or not). For example, not counting today's games, 10 games ago Philly was 25-32 while we were 22-35. But they went on an 8-2 run and we went 1-9. The only teams equally bad over that stretch are Seattle and New York.

If all teams keep this up it's possible we move down (up). Let's hope for the worst (best).

The Clips may still get Brand back right? I like our chances.

I see no reason why they would bring him back this season.

The magic spot is number 6. The past two years, the 6th worst team has fared very well in the draft lottery, so let's aim for that. Plus, it seems like David Stern tries to punish the outright terrible teams who purposely tank, while rewarding the teams who are bad, but not purposely tanking. Hopefully, we can fall into that group this year.

Of course, that's only if you believe in the conspiracy...:)

6 worked out for us the last time. I would be perfectly happy with either 6 or 5, just no foreigners this year.

we need Michael Beasley bad he is the only player in this draft we need if we dont get the #1 pick I say trade the pick....

a front court of

Bogut

that would be dominate.

I am having trouble seeing more than two more wins this season.
"I just wanted to play because I just love the game," Jennings said. "It doesn't matter to me. I get up to play basketball. It's my job. I have to still be a professional and finish the season."

uh the spurs have great management and know what they are getting when they draft Euro players..but when the bucks do it they dont know much but hope the players gets better..and it is different from drafting a Euro player with the 27th pick then the 5th pick (no risk)....if Parker and Ginobli didnt turn out I am sure they would of fond someone.,,once again they have a great front office and a GREAT Owner.

That post really doesn't make much sense to me so I think we'll just have to agree to disagree.

Yep, because Yi has shown to be dominant.
