considering this was the NBA All-defensive first team from last year

C- Camby
F- Duncan
F- Bowen
G- Bell
G- Kobe

pretty sure they would win at least 65 games. A team with 2 of the three best players in the league (I think Kobe and Duncan are the two best, but i will do this to not turn this into a LBJ spamfest), would basically guarantee 50 wins, plus the amazing role players around them. This team would easily win the NBA Finals.

even the all-defensive 2nd team from last year is a nasty team (ignoring that Ben Wallace didn't play good enough defense to be on there last year)

C- Ben Wallace
F- KG
F-Prince
G- Kirk
G- Kidd

that team would probably only get 50-55 wins though.

assuming this year's all defensive team will look like

C- Camby
F- KG
F- Bowens/Duncan/Artest/Smith
G- Kobe
G- Paul

this team would win 65 games at the least.

35 wins.

You see how even the Spurs struggle on offense sometimes despite their godly defense even with Duncan and Ginobili and Parker.

That team would be pretty damn ugly on offense. The only capable offensive player is Billups.

True that...if you meant he's really good at locking himself down in the post.

Put Kirk Hinrich in there instead of Kobe to weaken the offense and give this team a point and you still have a team that competes for the NBA title despite having no real offensive threat other than Duncan.

You need to have SJax in there and take Bell out. IMO Bell's defense is grossly overrated. Also, Baron's a VERY underrated clutch/man defender, so he could be subbed in in the clutch.

As said by others, Kwame on that is a joke. IMO the all defensive team is...

Camby
Duncan
Artest
Battier
Bowen

Well that team would be awful on offense. They have no playmakers, no one who can penetrate, no one who can throw an entry pass to Duncan, and no closer. Duncan is still a great player, but I don't think he is capable of consistently dominating on offense anymore, at least in the regular season. This team wouldn't make the playoffs in the West.

An all defense, no offense team would really struggle.

I think putting Duncan there destroys the whole point of them being an All-Defense team. Common, how in the world do you make a bad team by allowing Duncan to have Camby at C, and some perimeter guys who can shoot and defend?

Most teams have at least one star, Duncan is the ALL-PRO most commonly lauded for defense rather than offense. Doesn't seem reasonale to have a team of non-starters or marginal starters and ask how they would compete.

Maybe use the following players better known for defense than scoring from the last two years team: Bell, Bowen, Camby, Hinrich, Kidd, Prince, Wallace, Artest, and Kirilenko (8 man rotation . . . Eliminate one of the four SFs . . . Artest is the most offensive)

Camby Wallace
Kirilenko
Prince Bowen
Hinrich Bell
Kidd

Still a serious contender, top 8 teams in the league but not top 5
