Season Tix Prices going up - LOL!

Post#1 » by phillyborn_jacksonite » Tue Mar 18, 2008 10:01 pm

"We remain sensitive to our season-ticket holders and their commitment to the team, but at this time it was a decision we felt we had to make."

this should not be a suprising fact for any of us. Comcast senses that we are only going up from here so why not make a little more cash. Prices are high enough. IMO this is despicable. The only thing that i hate abou the NBA is that reular joe cant get courtside seat b/c they are so far out of reach. Now we have to reach further.

I'm not surprised.

Crap team = more affordable seats

Good team = less affordable seats

How else do you expect them to "feed their children?"

It's not even like it's a great product no star player fringe playoff team the balls they have to make someone pay even more now when last I looked we were almost dead last in the NBA in attendance.

People will still pay whatever they're charging if we're winning. We may not sell out without a star, but we'll sell.

were you surprised the last two seasons when they raised ticket prices?

Im not a big fan of raising ticket prices to offset the losses but that seems to be the Comcast way. the franchise hasnt been profitable since 2002.

Keep an eye on your cable bill too lol. they can raise that as much as they want. what you gonna do? stop watching the games?

Well they had Iverson/Webber/Iguodala, so no not really. Isn't that the year they missed the playoffs? That sucks.

It doesn't affect me if they raise cable prices, because I don't live in Philly lol
That sucks too though.
