If the Wolves win the last 16, they can match the 32 wins that the tanking KG achieved last year.
The only stat that is up for KG is his FG%. Is he still tanking in Boston?
Not for sure what Taylor wanted to achieve by calling KG out, but the blame for the Twolves problems start with him.

people like him shouldn't have a freedom of speech.
The guy missed like 20 games total throughout his career with the Wolves and laid it all on the floor each night, while he and management screw up time after time with mishandling of their players, bad trades, bad draft picks, and breaking league rules, this guy needs to go find a corner to kill himself in for wasting one of the best player's career and then having the nerves to blame a failed season on him for sitting out 5 games.

Yeah but he's in Boston now so he's not our problem anymore.
Nope, that douchebag owner actually is still here. That's one thing that bothers me even more than the ineptitude of this franchise. No accountability, particularily from Taylor and McHale. Always making excuses or passing off the blame on someone else.

I didn't hear about his until the pregame of the houston boston game going on on TNT right now. Barkley was REALLY pissed off and even said that if Glen Taylor was in the same room as him he'd slap the hell out of him.
Where's the class Taylor? Why would you badmouth the player that carried this franchise for the last decade. He may be gone but we're better for it. Frankly, I'm embarrased for the entire wolves organization right now.

Let me ask you this:
If some player not named Kevin Garnett had just decided he didn't want to play the last five games of the season, would that be tanking it? I think so.
People in MIN want to act like Kevin Garnett never did anything wrong any single day in his life. That's not true -- the guy is a human being. I have more admiration for KG than for probably any other player in professional sports. However, if that's what he did, he's a tanker.
You can question whether it should be said, but remember, the five games KG sat himself was a million dollars Taylor still had to pay him. If he wants to say it, he's certainly paid for the right.

crap well there goes all the "good reviews" that the FO got from howard, green, ratliff.
i guess it depends on how much other players like KG. i think he's on a lot of players bad sides.

I know you love to play devil's advocate here, but I don't think you've got much ground to stand on. KG has earned the benefit of the doubt here, not Glen Taylor. KG not giving 110% would be completely out of character. Taylor not knowing when to shut up and rewriting history? Not so much.

I'm tired of seeing the "KG deserves the benefit of the doubt" card being played. When KG took subtle jabs at MN after the trade when he said "It will be nice to play for a first-class franchise", he got the benefit of the doubt. When he acted like a little bit*h during the Boston-MN game, he got the benefit of the doubt. When we find out he took five games off last year, same thing. Enough's enough...get the blinders off people, KG isnt a saint. He obviously doesnt care a bit about MN fans, so let's stop acting like he can do no wrong and stop giving him the benefit of the doubt.
By the way, does Taylor ever get the benefit of the doubt for paying the guy $250 million?

Except that you're missing the point that Taylor is trying to make, i.e. that any discussion of "tanking" begins and ends with KG. This is, of course, nonsense and utter hypocrisy coming from the same man that refers to the trade that brought the only playoff success in this team's history as a "failed experiment". Perhaps most disgusting of all is that this is coming from the man who forced KG out and had spent the two seasons before that rebuilding while the team should have been reloading.
Even if you want to push the lesser point that "yes, in fact KG was tanking" it was the result of an ORGANIZATIONAL decision that began with their failure to put pieces around KG and ended with Madsen chucking 3's (well technically it ended with the trade, but that sounds better...)
The bigger picture that this fits into is that since the trade Taylor has attempted to pin the failures of the franchise on KG (i.e. comments at the beginning of the season) to distract from his own failures such as not committing to winning or firing that dolt McHale.

Get used to it. He earned an infinite supply, especially for the offenses your list, none of which are more than semi-grounded in reality.

Of course he's not, he's already taken his jabs at MN. But when he did it, he got the benefit of the doubt. When Taylor answers a question, he's classless. Like I said, Kevin Garnett doesnt give two **** about fans in MN, so stop wasting your loyalty.
By the way, for those of you too young to remember, there wouldnt even have been a Timberwolves team in MN anymore if it werent for Glen Taylor stepping in and saving the franchise 12 years ago.
