I personally liked KG's use of the third person. Nothing screams arrogance like some good ole third person.

Frauds how? Nobody ever said they were a legit title contender(if they did they're insane), but they are still one of the better teams in the NBA and a legit playoff team that could make a bit of noise in the postseason.
Without Yao obviously they can't go very deep but that goes without saying.
You must be one of those guys who thinks the streak was complete luck or a fluke or whatever other nonsense. To each his own I guess.
I'm pretty proud of what they've been able to do. It had to end sometime. It's satisfying to go from 10th to 1st when everyone said they stood no chance in hell of even sniffing the playoffs and their season was over. It sucks to think how good they could have been if Yao/Landry didn't get hurt, but it happens. Oh well.
Carry on...
We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

Charles has declared he has been a part of the NBA since 1984 damn near 1984 times already.

Don't take it the wrong way 22 is amazing, but I was basically responding to the homers who had declared the Rockets the best team in the West and as a serious title contender. The wins the Rockets had against quality teams without Yao were few and far between. Basically in a nutshell when you're relying on Rafer Alston to have a big game for your team to win you know you're in trouble.
(I'm actually a big Yao fan so for that reason I don't hate the rockets, but the 22 game win streak certainely went to a few posters heads)

Very good win by the Kings, poor game by the Warriors... surprised the Warriors didn't play better at least, let alone win. Can't have losses like this in the west. Anthony Johnson stepped up so well for Beno Udrih, 13 pts and 13 assists.
Great stuff for Boston with the back to back wins, and as expected, Houston's streak came to an end... they had an amazing run. Went out very well with the 22nd win on ABC.
Glen Taylor's stupid for saying that about KG
Kinda surprised Dallas lost to the Lakers
Bucks losing to Miami is just horrible, and giving up 116 points to them is worse
Not surprised Denver got routed, but I am surprised by the scores!

Who the heck called us a title contender? Find that dude. Find that. I can't picture anyone saying that. If we get a good matchup we can win a playoff series but thats a big "IF" and thats as far as we can take this without Yao.
Dude you gotta find me the Rocket fan that said we were a legit title contender b/c your hate during this streak has been ridiculous.

Yep it is ironic and funny, when Kobe was owning the Mavs back in the OT win, people were crying and complaining how the Dallas defense didn't try hard enough to get the ball out of Kobe's hands and now this game he passes out of double teams because they were doubling him, "but but.. Kobe didn't show up in the 2nd half."
STFU u haters! and why do they always come out during Lakers play?
I can name a few but am not going to, and u know who u are!

LOL @ frauds. i mean this team just had a 22 game winning streak. i don't care if they don't win again this season, that was an amazing accomplishment. i mean russel's celtics never did it. nor did magic's laker or bird's celtics. not the bulls team, even teh one that went 72-10 did it.
it is an amazing accomplishment, no matter what else happens this season

Phoenix Rockets. Not only are you the best team in the league but you play the best defence and have the best coach... or so he told me.Iggyemu wrote:-= original quote snipped =-

Anyways good job Boston and I have to go get a Rondo jersey even if he did own my Spurs for owning that punk Rafer.

To be honest, most of the Kobe/Laker haters exist because of posts like the one you just made, unfortunately...
