Pierce and KG came out of their locker-room with the determination to win. They took control of the game early in the quarter and as a result the Celtics met their offensive needs.

We're finally exposed. We're manhandled by Powe, KG, and Perkins who grabbed 11 offensive boards and combined for 42 points. Our frontcourt lacks size and surprisingly Doc Rivers recognized this. :)

It was fun while it lasted, mad props to the Cs, and I'll be rooting for you guys over any team in the East.

Stop saying you were exposed. You have a damn good team, you got beat, it happens (I know you guys may have forgotten about that, but every other team in the league has lost at least 5 times since you started your streak). You are still the top team in the west. Good luck and good night.

The Rockets are a likable team - but they need Yao back. Still one of my favorite teams out West. It's the Spurs i hate the most. I pray they don't make the playoffs.

Definately, it sucks what happened to him. That team would be awesome if they had Yao right now (who is underrated and ridiculously hated on).

first of all, it's jon barry not john barry. do you even follow basketball ? secondly, the turds in the media have always dissed boston teams and yes it is a ny driven conspiracy. where do you think the major media market is ? when was the last time you saw the celtics, sox or pats get their proper respect. i've grown sick of these douches. they cannot take away the fact that the c's just won 2 games that were unbeleivably impressive, as much as they try. instead of concentrating on the wins, their focus is that numbnuts taylor calling kg a "tank". espn ***** !!!!!

We just took down 2 Texas teams... I'm really pumped for Thursdays game, bring on Dallas. They haven't beaten an above .500 team since the Kidd trade, fyi.

Thanks you Celtics.

You ended that boring and lucky Rockets streak. You are the best team in the league. See you in June (if injuries...)

I want to thank the gracious Laker fans who've come over and shared so many kind words...

...even though it gives me a strong sense of forboding.

Kind words from Laker fans for the Celtics? This must signal the coming of the apocalypse.

I agree that there were no props at all for the C's. Sure the story was the end of the streak but look at what the c's did in a 24 hour span. Came back from 22 down to win IN San Antonio and then took the hottest team in the league and shut them down with smothering defense. I give Houston all kinds of props because with the lineup they've been trotting out they have overachieved beyond all expectations. But would it have killed Kenny or CHuck or Ernie to even mention them? Unreal.

Yet, sports experts will still give there "power" rankings to other teams.

Nice to see your post Darth Celtic.

What is amazing to me is that the C's are about to win more games than they did in the past two seasons combined.

I regret to let you guys know that the Rockets are the team that had the 22-game winning streak. Yeah, the Celtics ended it in a blowout, but the news is "the Rockets' streak ended", not "the Celtics ended the Rockets' streak". The celtics are NOT the belly button of the universe. Live with it.

Well, objectively...maybe we aren't, but when was the last time we Celtics' fans were objective about our team. To us the sun rises and sets on the great Boston Celtics....right?

we do, they are injured. :D

Yes, you do and if they had been able to play it would have been a whole lot closer. Being a C's fan, I still think we would have won, but still...you have a point.

Congrats on your streak and good luck the rest of the season. I'd love to see a series between a completely healthy Rockets and a completely healthy Celtics. Of course, that would mean the finals...

But no Mutumbo... :wavefinger:

Thank God I'm not the only one. Harlan seems to have this compulsive urge to tell us which college every player went to.

And Collins...sounds like Kermit the Frog. I swear. Every time I hear him talk it's all I can think of. Back when Steve Kerr was still with TNT, I'd always get them mixed up. They both sound like Kermit.

Agreed. I could never tell which of the two I was listening to.

Return to Boston Celtics
