In a vacuum, this Celtics team would probably perform as well as the '92 Dream Team, they would certainly blow out every opponent. But it's too hard to motivate young American NBA players for the Olympics.

The attitude like this usually gets team USA beaten. Sure, teams are usually better then national squads, same is true for european teams. It's much more obvious in soccer, then basket, as there's no NBA and all top players play in europe's best teams, but still.
Celtics have a few things in their favour, offcourse. Defense, solid allaround shooting, solid 3 point shooting, chemistry.

BTW - I don't see " Calderon, Navarro, Fernandez, Garbajosa, Gasol." being any better than Foye, McCants, Snyder, Gomes, Jefferson.
The NCAA champion finishes with Angola. They get killed by 30 plus points. Are you that arrogant?
KG, Pierce and Ray are among the top 30 players in the world. That's why we are a threat. But, we could lose to spain, Argentina, France just as easily.
Last year's Florida team wouldn't come in 40 points of Argentina.

What you've is two rosters that feature good comradery, chemistry and passion. There are capable shooters on both sides but team defense would be the difference here.
Honestly I personally don't see it as being that close. I'd say Celts take it 4-1. One game to get adjusted to International rules... The Celtics are much deeper and they play much better defense. Their starting 5 are better; the bench is better. Spain would be no match.

Not only would the Celtics sweep Spain...
They would win every game by 30+ points.
