OT: Man, what a run the Rockets had....

22-game winning streak, only to see the C's put them in their place....but man what a run, especially without Yao and with relative unknowns coming up big!

When I saw the Rockets play Sunday, they reminded me of a strong college team: scrappy, very active up and down the court, and very effective of pressuring opposing offenses. And given that 1-on-1 plays have partially watered down the league, it was quite refreshing to see how the Rockets improvised in their game plan with a lack of big men on their roster.

Yes there streak was nice, but it more credit then it should have. They played a lot of sub .500 teams and they got two lucky breaks that extended the streak.

Dirk was suspended against them, for his flagrant foul. Then Gasol got injuried for the Lakers. There streak would have def ended if Dirk played that game.

A 22 game win streak is a 22 game win streak. Its the 2nd longest streak in league history and propelled Houston from the outside looking in to 1st place in the western conference. With Yao being sidelined for a good portion of that stretch, its safe to say that they overachieved with the players they have.

None the less that is very impressive. I know that Jordans Bulls won like 70 games in a season, did they have any streaks like this. Or anything close.

Well the 72 win Bulls had an 18 game winning streak and went 31 out of 32 at one point.
