What's your problem? I know we got beat, and part of the reason was because we didn't have anyone who can contain your frontcourt.

Are you here trying to justify that Leon Powe has the skill to score over 20 points under any circumstances?

Obviously, Your small frontcourt played a part. But Powe has been very productive when given decent minutes.

Great game for the first half. C's just caught fire in the 2nd half thanks to the bench. Good luck the rest of the season guys.

It really is simple to see what happened here. We won 22 games with defense and hustle. The Celtics did to us what we have been doing to everybody else. They beat us up on the glass, got offensive rebounds and 2nd chance points, role players stepped up, they hustled for every ball, dove on the floor, closed out every shooter, bumped every cutter, every screener, every ball handler, and just beat us into submission. You get tired of having to go to battle every possession for 48 minutes. It mentally and physically drains you to have to grind it out like that. You know that nothing is goning to be easy as soon as you start going back up the floor with the ball. That is how they had been winning and got a taste of their own medicine last night, lol. Hopefully they bounce back tonight. Anything must seem easy after facing a team who brings it like that on defense.

I even saw a quote a few minutes ago of T-Mac saying that was the best defense he has ever seen and that the NBA was in trouble if they are going to play defense like that.

Well it was an amazing streak but it had to come to an end someday
Now we have a tough road trip we need to focus on

I don't get all that talk from Doug Collins how this loss (or a few losses) will be "disastrous" to our team psyche. If you look at the overall picture we are 26-2 in our last 28 games. We are still in pretty good shape. I don't see why we would be emotionally crushed by this like he said. It sucks the streak is over but the good thing is all the streak talk is over and we just focus on rest of the season.

+5

You nailed the game summary exactly. Its not like we didnt show up to play, the Celtics were just the better team last night. They wouldnt give McGrady ANYTHING last night.

only watched the 2nd half (didn't get home until 9:30 last night)
so i got the worst part of the game
-can't believe Howard is actually our best defender on Garnett in the past 3 years
-we are not going anywhere without Yao
-our best chance to advance into 2nd round is playing against New Orleans

we aren't faster nor better shooting than Phoenix and Golden State
our front court can't matchup with San Antonio, Utah, and Lakers

Return to Houston Rockets
