what do you guys think about Foye?
I haven't seen Foye play much this year but his statistics in the past five or so games seem promising. he's always been a pretty intriguing player and I'm curious what you guys think, both of his development so far and where you see his game headed in the future?

That's pretty much my feeling in the little I've seen of him. He answered my questions about his ability to create and find people, now he needs to learn when to dish/when to shoot. Oh yea, and to go left.

Well, over his last 5 games, he is in the top 10 SG category after Brandon Roy.

But the last 5 games he's been playing PG (although in that case, he ranks 8th instead of 9th, just ahead of Billups and just behind Mo Williams).
He's looked much better than I thought he would since Telfair got hurt. He still has areas where he could improve, but he's not making the same mistakes he made last year, and he's shown more talent as a distributor than I thought he had. As has already been said, he does need to find that balance between scoring and distributing, but he has made progress from last year.

"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''

He just needs to find a balance between scoring foye and distributing foye. It doesn't seem like he can do both. I think he might be a bit better PG prospect than I expected.
I think he should get to the line tons more than he currently is. His ability to finish around the basket is pretty impressive, and we have Al under there to help clean up missed attempts on the offensive glass. They really need to send him to the rack more.

TD is the MAN wrote:I wonder if Minny is deadset on him being a point guard. Granted I have not seen him play much but there is nothing that tells me that he is locked into his position has a point guard for this team. If Rose( I am very high on him by the way) comes along, do the Wolves brass pass on him due to Foye?
No way in hell we pass on Rose, if we picked Rose, Foye would be SG, PG when Rose sits.

He is usually stronger than the player he is guarding, and is always the last guy back, so he usually gets those back end rebounds, but he is a good rebounder.
He's grabbed 7,3,10,7,10 in his last five games which is an average of 7.4. Pretty damn good.

I don't think we'll ever use Foye as a full-time SG. At most he would be half time PG, half SG.
However I really like the choices of when to shoot and be aggressive and when to pass in the second half vs. the Grizz from Foye. He really had a nice balance going there. He was only 4-12 from the field, but he was 0-4 in the first half. If you look at the second half, which is the half I am commending him for, he was 4-8 and had 12 points and had some nice passes, especially one that comes to mind where he bulleted a pass parallel to the baseline to Jefferson for an easy lay-in.

Thriving on mediocrity since '89.
