Defiant & unrealistically compelled to insist the Sonics will remain in Seattle for years to come, and with this painful season of development almost behind us, it's time we faithful turn our attention to the upcoming lottery and draft, if only for a reprieve from the slimy, yet remarkably grating, spew constantly escaping from OKC's finest, Mr Clay "I have no shame" Bennett.
Shockingly, ya, well not, the NBA tanking process settled out as predictably as fish crap finding its way to the bottom of the bowl with our Sonics dutifully claiming the silver medal...
1. Heat - 14 wins (no way they beat a Hawks team getting ready to take it to the Celtics)
2. Sonics - 19 or 20 wins (could they finish by beating the distraught Warriors?)
3. Wolves - 21 wins (will they risk the bronze by beating the Pistons or Bucks?)
4. Grizzlies - 22 wins (very doubtful they win at either Portland or Denver)
5. Knicks & Clippers - 23 wins (watch Isiah's circus fall to 6th by beating the Pacers!)
So pretty much the ping pong balls are ready to be awarded. At least the Sonics are. Jumping straight to the bottom line, here's the Sonics' chances:
1st - 20%
2nd - 19%
3rd - 17%
4th - 32%
5th - 12%
