I really don't like how no one is picking up Ellis after he's being screened. He's been free to go to the basket twice now.

Nice string of plays by Thomas. 14-point Golden State lead. 4:03 left in the half.

All those free throws missed by Maggette. Thornton has struggled with his shot in this game. He is shooting too many jump shots IMO. I don't know if it's because he still might be sore from his injury or if he's just having an off night. TT has played solid so far. The Warriors are out playing us and they lead 64-46.

Dubs up 64-46 at the half. Buike looking good for the Warriors in the 2nd quarter. Thomas (16 on 7-9) is the only player really playing half-decent for us so far. Maggette has been to the line to shoot 10 but has only connected on 5 of them. Thornton has 5 all coming from the foul line. He hasn't looked like himself the last 2 games since the leg bruise.

We are really picking up our play now. I think it's because we're playing against the Warriors scrubs.

92-74 Warriors lead at the end of the 3rd. Not a bad quarter by the Clips. We weren't able to make up any ground but were able to at least match the Warriors. Maggette is having a poor shooting night at the foul line (7-13) but has hit his last 2. Thornton's points have been coming from the line. He's 3 of 9 from the field but has hit 10-12 FTs. If we can have nice 4th quarter and can get it down to single digits by the end, I'll be satisfied.

Ellis is having his way with us. Corey will head back to the line where he has been absolutely atrocious tonight. :nonono:

104-85 5:42 remaining.

Warriors got us 116-100. We played much better in the fourth. Thornton wound up having 24 points and 13 rebounds. We finally let GS get a win in staples center. I'm happy that I did get to see the Clippers on TV, since I won't get to watch them often. Hopefully we can get a win soon.

116-100 Dubs win. We didn't get it down to single digits but at least we passed the century mark. :dontknow: We lost this one in the first quarter really, but it we had a decent 2nd half. Thornton scored 19 in the second half after scoring around 5 in the first. He didn't really turn it on until he had that nice dunk. Thomas had a good first half but fizzled out in the 2nd. Maggette ended up with 21 but missed 8 free-throws. That's been his bread and butter for the longest and if you're going to look to draw the foul as opposed to finish, you have to hit the shots. On the other hand, he has been playing banged up, so I guess I'll cut him some slack.

I've been saying that all season, if you heard what they had said on ESPN was that we just have way too many injuries. I've been saying that all season long, along with the departure of Cassell. If you look at it 4 important players from our playoff run a few seasons ago have missed significant time, I really think that says something.

No Brand, No Livingston, No Cassell, No Kaman.

^^ That is true b/c you have to notice that w/o those key players for the Clips, the team overall hasn'tr been great due to injuries. No passing game, no leadership, no defense, no big man to keep the slashers out the post, and perhaps the lack of a better perimeter game. If the Clips undergo some upgrades and come back healthy for the next season. They may stand a chance to challange for the playoffs despite it will be a tough mountain to climb in the Western Conference.
