An interesting fact about Boston
Someone on Clutchfans (a Rockets fan site) told me this. The last time the Celtics swept the Texas Triangle was in 86-87. That was the year when the Celtics and Lakers played in the NBA finals. The Lakers won the series 4 - 2. The Lakers went on to win their 4th title in that decade. Seeing how it could be Boston vs. LA this year, how ironic is this?

Texas Longhorns: OMG guyz, I was talking to my friend's mom's cousin last week (he's a janitor). And he was all like dude! The last time the Sonics met the Clippers in the lottery was last year. The Sonics swept that series.. Now get this! They might meet again this year. How ironic is that? Dude's crazy! Earlier, I was thirsty and he told me to drink something. I did and it quenched my thirst. teh irony dudes!!!

If boston loses, it will lose to a team with a good small forward. Ray allen is the weakest link but paul pierce being outplayed is the key. Bostons results that are losses are against
@ Orlando Magic 8-1 104-102, L Hedo
@ Cleveland Cavaliers 11-2 109-104, L lebron
Detroit Pistons 20-3 87-85, L Prince
Charlotte Bobcats 29-4 95-83, L Gwallace
@ Washington Wizards 30-5 85-78, L Caron
Washington Wizards 30-6 88-83, L Caron
Toronto Raptors 33-7 114-1@ X (ok fine I'll say moon)

I can see why no one would care but this is a little harsh reaction.
As for Bruce, it's a decent theory. Only Butler and James can consistently outplay, per se, Pierce at SF though in the East( With James obvs every time he outplays Pierce).
With Hedo possibly doing so as well depending on the game.
All those SFs like Pierce are very strong, since Pierce is the main defender on the perimeter if that advantage is taken away from him his defense doesn't shine as much as it usually would. And it's a small sample size for losses but CLE/WAS/ORL all were solid losses and they all have that in common so you may be on to something.
Ray is defentily the weak link though. Oh and the PHNX game it was the tempo that beat us we just didn't play our game, little embarrising hopefull Cassell would bring some order next time we meet.

Eh, I was at the Detroit loss and Prince did nothing to beat Boston. In fact he's been pretty much terrible in all three games. Billups was the key in that game. Same with the Warriors game if I recall, Baron Davis was really the killer there. Same again with the Utah loss - Deron Williams was the key, not Kirilenko. Also - the loss to Phoenix was after the Shaq trade, so Marion wasn't even there.
As a Celtics fan, I worry more about players like Billups, Deron Williams, and Baron Davis than I do about Prince, Stephen Jackson, Kirilenko and the like. In the recent win over Cleveland, James was about as shut down as he can be (20 pts or so).
Anyway, I'm not sure this is really the key to beating Boston. I'd say the keys are more along the lines of:
1. Force turnovers.
2. Grab a bunch of offensive rebounds - this was the key to the losses to Denver and GS.
3. It really helps to have a big, physical pg with ice water in his veins.
