Okay, I see what you mean. Obviously, that makes the pick much more valuable, but the 6th pick isn't a guaranteed star and I'd want guaranteed star in return for Arenas who is, when healthy, a superstar.
And I still like Haywood more than Kaman. The Bullets need defense and I don't see how it is possible to argue that Kaman is Haywood's equal defensively. As for the rest of their games, Haywood's PER is 18.51 and Kaman's is 17.64. I'm not touting PER as the final word on a player's value, but I think it is a useful tool and it doesn't tell me that Kaman is better than Haywood. Not by a long shot.
