Post#1 » by ITK9 » Thu Mar 20, 2008 8:49 am

ok..i never started stupid threads and i don't like to start thread unless i really have something to say.on the game board everybody is talking about a.i.' return(and it's normal, i agree with that).

but

did you guys noticed what huge offesnive rebounds Thad had in the 4th quarter?(including the offesnive that lead to sammy 'final 2 points).Man...i am so excited about this kid..he is all husstle but in comparison with guys like David Lee or Noah , he is not only playing with his heart, he also has amazing skills and a HUGE potential.

Good points ITK9. I was thinking the same thing about Thad last night. Really did give us great energy and contribution off the bench. Played some nice D on Carmello in the 4th too. Just wait until Thad adds a few more pounds to his frame. He's going to be one of the best defensive SF's in the league.

Speaking of Thaddeus, I hope that Cheeks puts him on Turkoglu tomorrow. Hedu seems to always have Iguodala's number. I think Thaddeus would be a much better option against Hedu.

Yep...solid performance without scoring a bunch. Everyone should be very excited about his future here.

For a 19 year old with just one year of college ball under his belt, Thad has an enormous basketball IQ and terrific basketball instincts. The guy has an amazing touch and dexterity around the rim as well as an astounding nose for the ball. Let him work on translating his physical and mental abilities into a smooth offensive game in the next few years and we will have a very complete, all-star level player.

I like Thad, and think he deserves credit for his boards last night (especially the last one), but I think people are getting a little carried away at times. The guy only took 1 FG yesterday in 21 minutes of play. He still has a lot of work to do when it comes to creating his own shot in a half-court setting. Especially against teams with good, physical frontcourt defenders.

^^Just because he took 1 shot he needs work, thats crazy logic, he did everything he had to do for us to get the win and thats what people need to appreciate about the 19 year old.

I did notice that AI didn't give any love to Thad. I know he wasn't around when AI was but I found it interesting that AI went to the bench and gave love to the coaches, Ollie and Williams and left then. Maybe Thad took it personal :D.

All I know is that Thaddeus better be guarding Hedu tomorrow night if we want to have any chance of winning this game. Iguodala flat out cannot guard Hedu for some reason.

Why would Thad get "love"? He's the same as every other rookie in the league to AI. He has no bond with him.

Just because Thad only got credited with 1 FGA doesn't mean he wasn't aggressively looking for his shot. He had quite a few FTA's.

If Thad were firing up 10+ shots every game, it would be an issue. He's fine in his role, and his role has been key to the team's success. Next season, his numbers will increase more, and hopefully by year 3, he's a stud SF for this team.

5 FTAs helps a bit. But anyway, it's not an issue of Thad looking for his shot as much as him being able to create it when closely guarded. He's only 19, so he's got plenty of time to work on it. I just think people get carried away when proclaiming him to be a future star, as opposed to a good role player. Right now, it's too early to tell.
