Miles, don't get me wrong, I love Sasha and I agree the additional year and his interview where he says it's becoming natural @ the triangle all contribute to his great contribution this year.
BUT you have to look @ the big picture where his contract is up and lakers have to decide what to do in the off season. If he wants to stay, he's more than definitely shown what he's capable of doing in a lakers uniform. But he also has shown to the league he is a talent when given opportunity.

sasha, isnt a great PG. But he is a decent 2 behind Kobe. Hard to have a replacement for kobe, when kobe is a great player. But sasha is great shooter and happy that his shots are finally falling. there is no more statements that hes only good in practice. he really has shown his passion and desire to play with this team. He annoys other guards with his pesky defense. not the greatest but it works for the most part and he can keep up with some of the fast guards. I say we get him signed with ronny. cannot let those two guys go. mihm should retire. DJ, well if we can still have him for cheap then why not, I think he will benefit playing in a backup position just to clean up. Coby is still very unreliable but i like his attitude to still be out there playing hard when he can. vlad....i dont know what to say, its seems like when i say he cant make a shot he shoots the lights out, like against dallas. but if it works i will still say he cannot shoot like his normal self.

Yes, by the best PG, I meant the other guard next to Kobe because we all know Kobe is the mother of everything that happens in our offense so he should be the PG or play maker or whatever.
Re: Sasha running the break, thats probably the biggest setback in his game right now and thats probably where Farmar has an edge over both Fisher and Sasha. Thats a pretty good point.

Farmar is by far the most talented point guard we have, the second most talented guard behind Kobe. That doesn't mean he should be starting, although I've always pushed for that - before we got Gasol.
Now, our team needs at point guard have changed. We need a shooter and defender at PG. He doesn't need to be a great passer, he just needs to take care of the ball and make good decisions.
A frontcourt of Gasol and Bynum should require a slower tempo. If we want to run the triangle and play our tempo, Vujacic is the better guard in the backcourt. To me, it's that simple. Even with JUST Gasol, Kobe turned into more of a playmaker. With BOTH Gasol and Bynum, there's no question Kobe will look very actively to set these guys up. He's going to be the facilitator. Unfortunately, the opportunities for him playing at his most efficient and productive forward or wing position are pretty much gone. Bad for him in terms of individual stats, but better for the team. Previously, I've pushed for a facilitating guard so Kobe could be more productive and efficient. Now with Bynum and Gasol, it makes sense for Kobe to return to his role he played with Shaq.
Farmar makes a lot more sense as an uptempo scoring guard off the bench, like Pargo, Gordon, etc. He himself could be the best bench in the league. But unless he shows that he won't be overpowered on defense, there's always be some potential for liability.
Perhaps in the future, Bynum's defense could allow Farmar's weaknesses to be hidden, kind of like Chris Paul on the Hornets, who has Tyson Chandler and West to get his back. Having a legit basket protector might allow Farmar to play the passing lanes, something he does well, instead of trying to stop penetration of getting backed down.

I answered this question but I will answer again because I thought about it during the game yesterday.
You can say and not be wrong any one of them are the best right now but Farmar is in his second year and he can have an arguement for best pg and his 3 point shot is up there with Sasha's and he is a real pg and add the fact that he is only in his second year and I think if you ask this question when Farmar is 24 it won't even be close. Even if you say all of them at there prime who do you take? Farmar all the way.

na, sasha is good.but that title still goes to farmar..as far as most talented goes, its farmar also..but i think critt was by far our most talented guard other than kobe, in the beginning of the season.
in the playoffs i would still like the lakers to end games with sasha tho...his shots are very consistant this year and can be very huge for us in the plaoffs.

I would have to give the title for best PG to farmar. He has done tremendously well for his second year. Derek i believe has to do with this and farmar has stated that he is quite happy to have derek there to guide him. Farmar will be the PG of the future. I did like critt as our PG...okay i wont go into that. Sash is going to be a great role player for us, willing to play defense and take the necessary shot when he is open.
