prime iverson lead his team to final and won mvp.prime t-mac lead orlando to dwight howard.enough said.
He went through a weak eastern conference to the finals - then did nothing for the rest of his career; he couldn't even lead his team to the playoffs for a number of years. He had a team that was built perfectly for him.

Iverson was shooting 39% from the field in the playoffs during the finals run. That should tell you something.

As for the MVP, he got it because the media did what it does best - it hyped him up. Shaq/TD should of had that MVP, no questions asked.

He had an inferior season to: T-Mac, Shaq, Kobe, VC, KG, Pierce, Duncan, and Webber that year statistically.

There is no question McGrady at his peak was the better player of the two - now it's more of a tossup.

The weak eastern conference argument doesn't work when the player your saying is better go to play in that same weak eastern conference.

With a team that was much worse than Iverson's. Please try again.

Iverson was stuck on a more talented team than that Magic squad (Iggy/Korver/Dalembert etc.) and couldn't even get that team to the playoffs consistently. I don't think he even won a playoff game with them.

Tmac now, prime Tmac. You just need the right players to build around Tmac, in Orlando he had a bunch of D-leaguers. Right now he has the best Center in the league, but come on, our third best scorer is Shane Battier...who really isn't known for scoring. AI however has shown his success as he has won an MVP award and has been at least to the finals.

In his career, hasn't T-Mac played in at least 2 series' where his team had home court advantage, and another where his team was up 3-1 in a series? That's 3 VERY winnable playoff matchups and he came up short on all of them. Then you have the nerve to say Iverson went through a weak east. Please.

I would probably take T-Mac because of his size at the SG position. He has an advantage to shoot over guards and is a good slasher for his size.

But if both were the same size, I would take AI and it's not really a tough decision.
