Our Celtics Dancers.....

Post#1 » by CelticsFan11 » Wed Mar 19, 2008 1:17 am

Our very own Celtic dancers are up against the Toronto Raptors in the "Dance Playoffs"

The link to vote for our team is:

This is one of the better contests i've seen :D

LOL, I actually don't find this Celtics Dance team as attractive as I'd like em to be, but I'm not voting for Toronto in anything ;)

The Raptor girls look tough in that picture.

I don't really care much for the Celtics dancers, but looking at those pictures we really have more depth than the Raptors dancers. (Their homers will deny it violently, though.)

We probably have the worst looking dance team in the NBA.

Wait a second, I thought all the critics were saying that depth was going to be our problem this year...

Well the Celtics dancers lost. The whole season was for nothing.

I blame Doc. This never happened when Red was coaching.

The dance squad is a travesty for this franchise. As much as pretty women are always nice to have to look at, it seems so WRONG for the C's to have this ****. I hope it'll go away but I'm not hopeful....
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

I don't get the dancer hate. If you actually go to the games you need something to fill all the time outs. People like dancing - even women who watch things like dancing with the stars..

The only ones I like are Adrienne, Alexis, Rebecca and Stacy. All the others don't really do too much for me. Too many freakin blondes :banghead:

Adrienne is the hottest -- by far!

I've been to plenty of games, past and present, and as it was before the dancers there was too much other **** going on to distract from the game (although the team blew so I guess that was a good thing). But now it seems in the way.

Plus the C's have always prided themselves on being a class organization that was into winning and excellence. Now they're just like every other team with a dance squad.

I suggest we get the Rockets fan they showed on TV after KG's monster dunk in the final minutes to join our dance squad. She was NICE :)

To be fair Red really loved this ownership group. Just before he passed they reached him for comment on the dance team and he said that when the idea came up and he was in charge it was going to cost him money and all his tickets were sold. Now somebody is sponsoring the dance team so it is atcually making the C's money and he said he would have been all for that.

They are just like every other team except for the fact that they win and excel like no other team.

Distract from the game? It's not like they trot the dancers out DURING the games just the MASSIVE deadtime they already have in the game. You have to put something out there with today's ticket prices.

If they cut down the commerical breaks (something which like taxes seems to only RISE with time) then I could see what your saying..

I'm so glad you got my point. Actually, I was born yesterday if that was what you meant. I may not be the right person to have a stance in this matter as I have never even been to Boston but as Celtics fan I'm totally indifferent about the quality or even existence of the Celtics dance squad. The NBA is about business AND basketball. I don't mind the owners doing business as it enables me to watch a good team.

Awesome, then let's have the Celtics dancers dry hump for an extra $5 per ticket, or a $14.95 surcharge if they just plain old **** each other butt naked during timeouts. Kids gotta learn about the birds and bees somehow anyway.

Away with common sense to make room for tangential exaggerations. Seriously though, I could have a problem with your business proposition. I don't know about the legislation there but if it's anything like here there could be legal problems as well. I'm all for removing the dancers if it's for setting an example against sexism and objectifying women. If it's done based on a supposed opinion that's a different matter altogether. And when it comes to birds and bees I have always thought there was more to it than a bunch of same sex dancers humping each other, dry or for real.
