You're happy that we're not doing well on this road trip (thanks largely to Gasol's injury)?

Well we have a chance to win at least one of the 2 remaining games but if we lose both, it wont be smth wierd.

Let Gasol or Bynum come again and we will be at the top again in a week

Kobe will drop 82 on Dallas and we will win that. Then he'll follow it up with 90 against Utah and we will once again rain supreme in the west!

Seriously though, we have to give it our all these next two games. Lamar cannot disappear like he did yesterday. I don't care if he's not comfortable being the 2nd option because he is right now whether he likes it or not. Dirk cannot guard him and he can give Boozer and Memo both troubles.

Lamar was one of the few who showed up last night, albeit had some mistakes down the stretch.

Lamar did show up last night, but i do feel that he didnt get enough shots in the post. He was doing a pretty good job for the most part. Kobe shot too much, I think he was trying to lead my example in this game. But regardless we need more people to start shooting to take the load off of kobe. Tough road games but if we show up with that deep bench we have had in the beginning of the season we will be okay and pull off wins.

Tesla posted this on the general board, and I have to second him -- it would have been tough splitting this road trip even with Gasol. To do it without him is extremely encouraging.

We got contributions from just about everybody, but I was particularly impressed with Lamar: 38 points, 29 rebounds (!) and eight assists against teams that had been 29-4 and 29-3 at home. That is big time.

Alas, there's no rest for the weary in the Western Conference. We have to keep plugging away.

Can't take anything for granted, though. For example, we could easily lose both games coming up to Golden State, which could plunge us right back into the middle of the pack.

As Jackson said after tonight's game, "There's nothing easy ahead of us that we see, so we're going to have to play and compete." Just like we did the past two games. Maintain that sense of urgency, and I like our chances.

We have to win tomorrow vs Sonics. GS really worries me because we are terrible against people who can shoot the 3's. The Rockets and Mavs were having a field day from downtown agains our defense. The Warriors are a 3 point squad so they will score anywhere from 110-120 on us and we don't have Bynum or Gasol to punk them inside. If we are not careful we can easily lose 2 against GS and we will relinquish the division lead on Phoenix. I really hope that doesn't happen b/c I can't stand losing to Golden State.
