Ernie Johnson's Rockets' Prediction

Post#1 » by Texas Longhorns » Thu Mar 20, 2008 10:18 pm

I got this from Clutchfans.

Ernie Johnson of TNT think we will finish with the 3rd seed in the West. He thinks the Hornets will finish the 6th seed in the west. Here is his predictions:

1. Lakers - 58-24
2. Spurs - 57-25
3. Rockets - 55-27 (Tiebreaker over Suns)
4. Jazz - 54 - 28
5. Suns - 55-27
6. Hornets - 53 - 29
7. Mavericks - 52 - 30
8. Warriors - 51 - 31
9. Nuggets - 50-32

Source

I know Ernie is not good at predicting, but what do yall think about these predictions?

I think if we match up against the Hornets, It would be better than any other match up we could get in the West.

i am optimistic.... i see the rockets finishing 2nd and denver making it over the warriors.... i agree with you that i don't necessarily think EJ is good @ predicting he's just a talk show host that asks questions.... like Tom Brokaw releasing his march madness picks or something

So I guess Ernie doesn't think the Spurs are gonna play their last two games either?

The Hornets is a pretty good matchup for us , especially if we have homecourt.
I hope we see the Jazz again or the Hornets.
If we have homecourt I prefer the Jazz , they have a weakness at backup pg , and Brewer is not as good as Fisher.
If we don't have homecourt I prefer the Hornets , although I hate our chances againt anyone without homecourt.

here are my predictions

if we get the hornets or denver, we will go to the second round, anyone else, we are doomed

there is also a small chance of loosing it all and not making the playoffs at all
