What is Your Re-lationship With Bucks Now? Are you 'Tired?'

Post#1 » by NotYoAvgNBAFan » Fri Mar 21, 2008 11:29 pm

My relationship with the Bucks' is in the area of a 'Separation' a prelude to a complete Divorce pending upon the hiring of the new GM and Coach and the upcoming NBA Draft Lottery and free agency...

And hopefully the sale of this franchise and new ownership. This team is in dissaray and a tailspin.

No I am not a bandwagon per se. I have been a fan since its inception...
so I am as loyal as ANY OF YOU!

So don't come question my fanhood! In fact, there have been times many have deemed me too fanatical with my Bucks' and win centric names for them in the last 5 years or so...

So much so that I got on many nerves. I did not apologize for any of it. But I am tired...

I am done with this team until they show me that they are back on the winning track and making competant moves that gets us back to where we once were.

In today's sports world I can go to something else! I do not really like the style of the NBA anyways...

I need a public apology for reconciliation. Winning is imperative and non- negotiable in this fan vs team relationship.

Fans have to come first with me! We must matter!

Some will say, 'no you cant leave and come back! Once you go that is it! You are a fair weather nut so good riddance, they say!'

Blah blah blah....yea, whatever  man. Whatever...I used to say that too.

I will take that under consideration, not that I really care. "I'm tired...of this." I will 3 wait in limbo here but we are on a level of having some very 'irreconciliable differences' here in many things.

I take exception to how this team is built, the devotion and dedication and profesionalism and lack of approach and philosophy this organization has.
Hell, I take exception to much of the league as a whole really...

So where are youin your Bucks' fanhood? Anullement process? In a Spat of Irreconcilable differences? Indifference? Disgust? Separation? Divorce? You tell me....

I'll be back to see...

Bucks will have a breath of fresh air once Kohl sells to a local owner. It be like the Brewers. Spending and making decent deals and trades. Why didnt Kohl Meddle with KArl dealing big 3. I know they had there weaknesses. But just think if we could of had something better next to then then EJ or cheeseburger. I feel like my heart got cut out after the big three were dealt.

I'd like to know the difference between a relationship and a re-lationship

Lets discussion types of relationships.

Senator Kohl always says the Bucks' are a product. A product and we are fans who he is committment (or so he says...) to giving us a good
and productive product.

Some say entertaining product. I do not like the word entertainment in the sense that many of you think about it.

I see NBA basketball as a sport not a sitcom or soap opera. I am not going to movies when I attend any NBA game. I am going to see what
I assumed are committed, devoted, dedicated world class athletes and professionals determine to perform as hard as they can to the best of their abilities every night for two hours of their time to do what they do best....And win1

The objective of the Owner and GM is to be a buyer and salesman that has a well devised VISION and long and short term plan to that they can define and stick to and implement to some type of success on the court.

The Bucks obligation should be to the fans. Not the League, not even the players, or their sponsors or pockets soley. But to the game itself and its fans.

Respect The:

1.Profession (NBA GAME)
2.The Team (Organization)
3. The Fans
4.The City or Community you are in.

Not
1. Your Agent or Marketking Company
2. Your posse or crew
3. Your stat sheet or numbers
4. Add yours here...

The Bucks have dropped the ball the last two years...especially and the year before that they backed into the playoffs setting a record or being the lowest sub .500 team to make the playoffs...

Dubious indeed. :noway:

I know MBBOT's posts are a joke to most people, myself included, but I found the thread title intriguing enough to actually give his posts here a serious read, and I must say this has the potential for an interesting discussion.

Aghh, I have to agree. I remember when I used to challenge GAD more but now that we are friends and have hung out a bunch, I find myself agreeing with him much more than I used to. Maybe it is group think or maybe its just because I always agreed with most of what he said but found it fun to be combative with him. Either way here is where I stand.

I am loyal to a fault and I love the damn Bucks. I hate that we suck but I feel like I am such a part of them with how much time I devote of my life to thinking about them on this board that I just want them to succeed so bad. I have a job where my boss was just promoted to be the president and I have had to recently assume a lot of extra responsibility and I own a web retail business as well that takes up a lot of my time. I have a lot of friends that take up my time. I have a new girl who I find myself thinking more about and another one on the side. :D So I always ask myself why do I spend so much time thinking about this team. Its because thats what I am passionate about and I want the best for our guys and our team. So even though we suck, its like an addiction to me and I am still married to this team. The only difference right now is I am mad at this spouse of mine so I feel like I have the right to complain as much as I want about this terrible spouse.
