let's get back to moving the rock
Kudos to Doc for spotting a problem that needs to be addressed.... the lack of passing. Over the last several games we've resorted to a lot of one on one play. One pass to Pierce or Garnett and then they take the shot. rondo has taken to trying to score more than pass. Earlier in the year when we were blowing teams out it was in part because we were making the extra pass and getting wide open layups. Now that we have Cassell the extra pass should result in a wide open shot for cassell or House. we have enough good shooters on this team that there should always be an open man if Garnett or Pierce are double teamed.

Actually, it's more the point guards than Paul and KG, imo. Paul has been playing brilliantly, sharing the ball. Cassell likes to shoot the ball a lot and for some reason Rondo has been taking more shots than usual and passing less, passing up the opportunity to dish and drive and shooting jumpers instead. Both these guys seem to be shooting more than passing.

Yeah it's not Paul. I really like Paul's game right now. he is being more decisive and not fiddling and diddling with the Paul as much. It's always slash/pass/shoot - one of those three.
I think Rondo has to take those shots to keep the D honest... I don't see a problem there. You don't move the ball for the sake of moving it.

Doc Rivers just blew the hornets game
Doc Rivers just blew the hornets game by playing the bench to long down the stretch, you could feel the momentum change. Cassell was not hitting and he doesn't no the plays yet so if hes not hitting hes going to struggle and then to have him in there with house in the 4th when either one couldnt guard Pargo. Well It was at that point I just shook my head and said ab out the 8:00 min mark that Doc was keeping Rondo on the bench way to long. If we could have used Tony Allen at all then maybe rest Rondo that long but i knew we had no one to disrupt there flow

I just think the Celtics had too many daiquiris in New Orleans, what else can explain nine turnovers in the 4th quarter? Hornets defense isn't THAT good.
