Butler finally looks like he's getting his legs back under him. He doesn't seem totally immobilized out there like the past two games, though he still seems a step or two slow. His shot is definitely back though. He had 25 points on 9/12 shooting (3/6 3pt), 2 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals and just 1 turnover on Friday. Albeit against the Heat. That said, he's going to needs his legs to stay in front of Prince when they're matched up. The Pistons will be looking to bounce back after a horrendous 89-73 loss to the traveling circus show known as the Cavaliers. Prince will also be looking to bounce back from his sub par performance. Prince is automatic when he gets to the basket, and he has range to boot. With those long lanky arms, he'll be a challenge for Butler. He might have to utilize his slashing game rather than his set jumpshots against Prince, which again, bings those legs back into question. Lace em up, let's go Tough Juice!!!

Am I the only tool who clicked on the nude pics here link? As for the game, I must echo the thoughts of hands from an earlier thread:

This is actually a huge game because we get DET one more time @ DET.
If we can win here and play them close there or even better win both, that would do a lot for this teams confidence.

I believe this is where GA will make his return. 2nd quarter.

He should at a minimum be dressed and on the bench available if needed.

That would get the crowd going, give the Wiz a lift and get into DET heads a little. I would expect he comes in off the bench to start the 2nd quarter. He should be held to less then 20 mins.

If he is going to be ready for the West Coast game at Portland Tues then why not have him dressed for Sunday at home ready to come in off the bench for his return. The crowd would go nuts and beating DET would a nice confidence builder going into the playoffs. We have beaten everyone else that's in the running. @ ORL, CLE, @ TOR, and BOS in back to backs

He practiced again Thursday so by Sunday he should be ready to start his return. He needs to get started as soon as possible because it may take some time for him to get it going. But if he is going to be shooting less, he could mix in quickly. Bosh just returned. His approach the first game was to just do all the little things and focus on D.

Point is, to beat DET we need more then one one handed PG. Having 2 PGs is something we haven't had all season.

Watch-out for those 2 dangerous Former-Wizards coming off the bench - Hayes & Dixon!! 8)

I think Detroit should let the Wiz win, considering all the great players we end up handing to them.

Should be a great game.

You'll are absolutely hilarious.

I can't believe that you actually locked that other thread. You'll actually believe in a jinx? I don't play that game.

First, it wasn't a game thread. Maybe you could call it a pre game thread.

2ndly, we kicked Miami's ass and moved up to 5th spot and gamed a game on Phili all in one shot. So following you'lls logic, me doing what I did could actually be a good thing.

Thanks for coping my post into your first post DeSwami.
As it says, I expect to see Gilbert Arenas dress in uniform to start the game against Detroit.

oh yeah, I clicked the link also. Who wouldn't want to see more of that babe.
actually, the is a square box above here pic that didn't show up on my brower that takes you to the babe of the day site.

As for what I was writing about in the other thread, I'll be looking for GA to be dressed on the bench come Sunday.

Yea, they deleted one of my posts too in that pre-game thread. If they actually believe in a jinx they need to get some help.

Nah, it was mostly locked since we already had that damn thread. It's just more fun to blame it on the mojo. And since ji isn't up to his old antics (pointlessly starting new threads, etc) the Wiz board needs a scapegoat. Thus, if we lose it's all your fault. Thanks for volunteering. Mighty big of you. 'Preciate it.

Hey JWiz

Nice set up on the game thread. I have a request though for next time.

It would be awesome if we could see the stats side by side. I could live with smaller pictures if it took that. Something like

Wiz pic / Wiz Stat / Det Stat / Det Pic

It would make comparing the stats a lot easier and it would make it easier on you because it could all be one graphic.

Considering I have started about 10 threads since I joined in 2005 I guess you could conclude I don't just start threads at the drop of a hat. I get and support the idea of not having to many threads.

I figured that Gilbert's return game deserved it's own thread. I guess it could have gone in all things GA but I wanted to start something that was specifically for GA returning for DET which is going to happen. I didn't realize the folks that believe in jinxes would freak.

Hands11, you are hilarious. You take everything so seriously. Mods took the opportunity to make some funny about jinxes and so on at your expense and not only do you not get the joke at all, you are complaining about it, which makes it even more funny.
Help us, Obi-wan Leonsis. You're our only hope.

Dude, your way over stating the seriousness issue here.

Really, I'm not flipping about this just because I posted something about it.

It's cool. Really.

In the interest of accuracy here:

You mean since September this past year when you finally figured out how to sign in to the account you created in 2005. Then posted a bunch of topics welcoming yourself to the board [instead of using the 'Introduce yourself' thread]. And posted a few new threads on your favorite pet line-ups. And then started a thread to complain about how the board was run and how to fix it.

Just sayin'. We need a good scapegoat around here. You'll do fine.

EDIT:

Course that said, if we win, I expect you to buy into the 'reverse-mojo' theory 100% and you'll have to start a premature thread all the time for pine to lock. Or else you'll be the scapegoat.

Sorry hands...nothing personal. Was just trying to make a play on Ji and the various JInxes that he's been associated with. Posting about a game in the future would have been typical of Ji and - most likely - have caused the "bad mojo" loss.

It's kinda like strolling back to old Wiz board tradition and how we say "____ is suck".

I realize now that you may have been a little new to have picked this on. I shoulda waited till an older-timer (donkey, doc, CCJ, etc) posted something remotely Ji-like to anoint them as the newly minted Ji.

Sure, JWiz may have the bells and whistles, but miller has the substance. These gamethreads are the equivalent of crap wrapped in wrapping paper. Looks nice from an outward view but good god, what's inside?

Not this game brother. Hayes is going to be a no show.

EJ just has to let it hang. Keep the rotations moving and don't be afraid to play different line ups.

Ahh, got it. Scapegoat or reverse scapegoat. Excellent.

How about this. I'm sure Donkey can find you a goat. He likes to cross breed like that.

How about this for accuracy? It wasn't that I didn't know how to log in, it was that my SN was locked because I hadn't used it in a little while so if I wanted to log in, I would have made to make a new SN.

I have a patent on Hands11. There are no substitutes.

So because the site was laid out so well in finding help for this problem and because of the offshore responsiveness the mods in unlocking my SN, it only took like 6 months to get it done :) Go Mods.
