I'm sure there are classless Lakers fans, just as there are classless Jazz fans etc. I got no problem with Lakers fans. But I do think that 90%+ of fans who aren't Lakers fans would agree that the Lakers TEAM is classless, mainly because of Kobe and Phil. I mean cmon, Kobe reacting to his own adulterous mess by saying he should have done what Shaq does and pay off the women? Who says that? Thats backstabbing a TEAMMATE and a one-time partner of a dynasty.

didnt happen like that. You are making the assumption that Kobe was under arrest and he started selling people out. It wasnt the case. He was scared, not sure what was happening and didnt know that anything would be public or even any charges were being considered. He was met in the parking lot by 2 detectives, being 'cool' with him and asking him questions. Its in the transcripts, go read em. Even the detectives after the fact confirmed as such.

Do I think he should have brought up Shaq or anyone? no. But you paint a different picture.

Also Kobe throws a young Andrew Bynum under the bus? How can people cheer for this guy? Seriously. I used to love Bryant before the '04 season. Oh I cant forget when Raja Bell said he doesnt like Kobe because Kobe is "arrogant" and on cue, Bryant responds with "do I know this kid?"...making Raja's comment 100% accurate and justified.

Kobe and Bynum have a great relationship.

Raja bell? HA.. really? you have your facts all messed up again. Kobe said that AFTER raja took his head off in a game. Raja was suspended for his classless act and Kobe didnt want to get into ..and said' Do I know thos guy" ?

The fact is, Raja is more popular after that incident ( one that you seem to have the fact all mixed up) and him and Raja are now friends.

So no, Lakers fans (as a whole) are not classless IMO. But you're star player is, and some might argue that to cheer for him makes you classless.
absurd comment.

One might also argue that making tasteless PA halftime shows about ones personal life, chanting you suck, throwing beer and booing is classless... but whatever ...it is what it is.

I did? Thats news to me. Care to show me where I made said assumption. Last time I checked, adultery (which I alluded to) is not a crime, just a low class sleazy thing to do. And you can defend what he said about Shaq until you're blue in the face. Shaq's personal life has nothing to do with Kobe or his own legal, marital, personal issues. Bringing up Shaq the way he did was a low blow and no positive light you could paint it under will ever change that fact.

Kobe and Bynum have a great relationship.

Really? I wasnt aware that Kobe had a great relationship with anybody. Care to show me something tangible that leads one to draw that conclusion? A simple article will do, and I will be very suprised. But even if its true, it doesnt change the fact that Kobe threw Andrew under the bus and criticized the organization for not getting Jason Kidd (you may recall, this all happened before he demanded a trade...it wasnt too long ago). I suspect if there is any salvageable relationship between Bryant and Bynum, it is because Bynum is mature and career-oriented enough to not put too much weight into what an egotistical, selfish, and pretentious co-worker says about him, more so than on any special effort on Kobe's part.

Raja bell? HA.. really? you have your facts all messed up again. Kobe said that AFTER raja took his head off in a game. Raja was suspended for his classless act and Kobe didnt want to get into ..and said' Do I know thos guy" ?

Actually, I'm quite sure you are the one who has the facts mixed up. While Kobe's comments came AFTER the hard foul, they were in response to a reporter who asked Kobe what he thought about Bell's comments that Bell does not like kobe because he is an "arrogant" and "pompous" individual. Kobe's response, "do I know this kid? Do I even know this kid? He's talking about me? I don't know this kid" basically sealed Bell's comments as 100% accurate. Oh, and I'd love to see some tangible evidence that would lead one to assume Kobe and Raja are now friends. If you can get that for me, I will publicly eat crow for a WEEK on this forum because I call BS to that statement without hesitation.

absurd comment.

I agree with everything exept the booing part. Oh, and my comment was an observation, one that is definately true because I KNOW people who feel the way they do about Lakers fans based on what I said. But I fail to see how the comment is "absurd", unless in your vocabulary, "absurd" means that it paints something Laker-related in something less than the magical glow of perfection, and so naturally must be ridiculous....

I have to give it to you, Phil 2.0....you are DEFINATELY qualified to be the moderator of your forum. I suspect to hold such a position one must be the biggest of Laker Homers, and you definately are that. Not a bad thing by any means, so long as you dont let your ridiculously biased opinions get in the way of keeping things clean, which, so far, you've been able to do quite well. Keep it up  (And I'm not being sarcastic)

Enough of this... it is clear that some people can't be mature individuals
