I absolutely still want to trade Mo. Without question.
I wish I wouldn't have any reason to still want to trade Mo. He's very enjoyable to watch offensively on most nights, no matter what particular offensive style he happens to be playing on a given night. I like Mo.

If he could do a better job defensively (particularly against penetration) against opposing PGs, or if he could demonstrate that he can play decent defense against bigger SGs (meaning we could play him at SG and bring in another PG to play alongside Mo) then I'd be all for keeping him.

Anyway, this is the POTG thread. I only posted the above because of the sarcastic "trade Mo" reference, as if Mo made people who want to trade him look silly. Not even close, unfortunately.
Maybe in the remaining games of the season Mo can prove that he can play the kind of defense I mentioned above. Either way would be fine with me, just show me one or the other and we'll have found a way to keep Mo.

But as for THIS game, the POTG is Mo Williams without question. I can't believe it is not unanimous, or at least 90% Mo.

Bogut played very well too, but Mo was outstanding.

I got a way to defend it. Bring a bat to the game and kill one of them."

GAD, I don't think that was a sarcastic response, I think 75 really wants Mo gone, he has forever.

Jerrod, most people have biases on this board. You would see the same thing towards any player in my opinion. Just the way it is, unfortunately.

biases aside, i'm not surprised bogut has picked up a good portion of the votes. he played a damn good game. he busted the game open in the first quarter and took the cavs by surprise.

Yep, sorry if I implied that. Bogut did play great and I didn't really mean this specific example, I just meant in general.

I really thinkt here are Mo guys here, Bogut guys, Redd guys, noone is completely unbiased.

(Except me :D )

Outsider here. What do some of you guys have against Mo? Every time I see him play he's usually lighting teams up. He's a great scoring PG and should be surrounded by defenders, not traded.

Some people dislike him because he's not distributing it into Bogut on every possession. Others don't like him because his name isn't TJ Ford. Others believe his defense is the source of the team's defensive issues.

I didn't watch the game or vote here but I'd guess if you have a 2 player POTG and one of them is Mo or Redd most people would be tempted to vote the other guy out of spite. It's been a long season.

Some people don't like him because he isn't the best distributor, but this argument doesn't make sense to me because he was leading a top 5 offense in the league last year before injuries.

As for myself, I believe that when you are the worse defensive team in the league, it probably isn't wise to want to keep arguably your worst defender.

now why was that?

if he played every game like he did against the cavs yesterday, he'd not only be an all-star, he'd be everyone's favourite player. he did everything right yesterday but unfortunately those games are few and far between these days.

I don't like him because I believe that I'm the rightful host of the Mo Williams show.

You can't expect those games every nights or even most nights. If that happened he'd be the MVP of the league. Mo is however a decent PG making average PG money. On the whole, he's played very well the past two seasons, and is the only guy on the team who I want the ball in his hands in the 4th quarter.

I don't know where the expectations came from, but Mo has certainly lived up to what I wanted to see. Next phase is improved defense as a team. If that means Mo has to go, so be it. However, that move in a vacuum will accomplish nothing, while likely hurting us offensively.

i agree. i hate having to compare him to redd all the time, but i think the frustration comes from watching redd throw up more than his fair share of shots every game, then more often than not, watch our point guard do the same.

mo took 11 shots in yesterday's game. that's perfect. his assists also, perfect. he doesn't need to roll in numbers like that every game, imo he just needs to look for the pass before the shot. he doesn't do that enough. he has the ability to do it and we all know it, it's just frustrating in the same way that bogut doesn't go up hard at the ring every time unlike yesterday's game, when we know damn well that he can.

Mo without any doubt. Bogut was great as well.

Games like this show us that we have talent. We don't have coach though so this talent is like army without comander. Therefore we can't have any consistency. What a mess.

PLEASE KOHL, SPEND ON COACH !!!!

PS: My first post since saturday because I had virus atack my PC. I lost entire hard disk. Oh well
