Blazers need to solve their PG problem, I don't know if Mo would solve it but I'm just throwing it out there. What's the asking price as fans? How about Raef, Jack, and Frye for Mo and filler?

The Yeti.

Or Jack, Raef and the lotto pick. I have seen some people mention Frye but with Yi and CV I don't see any use for him.

The pick is the key, that and Jack and Webster and filler for Mo and Simmons would be good.

Talking trades with Portland fans is infuriating, because they feel that all of their good players are untouchable, and want to know which of their useless scrubs you want. Obviously the players of value are Roy/Oden/Aldridge/Webster/Outlaw/draft pick. I'm not trading Mo for a late lotto pick though, and if Portland moves up to top-3 they aren't trading it for Mo. Haven't seen enough of Jack+Outlaw to know if I would look into something like that any further.

This is quite the over valuation of Mo Williams.

We'd be lucky to get Webster or Jack + the pick. Dumping Simmons in the process is unfathomable.

Webster and Jack are both bench players on any good team, and Portland's pick will be in the late teens. I don't think that is overvaluing Mo, who would be the top player in the deal no question and would be a good fit next to Roy, who can really create at the SG slot. The problem is dumping Simmons, I highly doubt a rebuilding team would take on his salary.

If we would be looking to move Mo to POR I would be asking for Travis Outlaw or Martell Webster and Jarrett Jack.

We have no reason to move Mo for garbage unless POR is taking back garbage like Simmons and Gadz contracts

I just don't like Jack, or Frye, or any (realistic) deal I have seen from Portland so far.

How do these guys improve our team?

I would take a lottery pick, solid role player, and Portland to take away one of the Bucks bad contracts.......many to choose from....I also agree with CBQ, I would try to put together an extremely attractive package for the #2 pick to get Rose, willing to overpay.

I agree with ya. Portland isn't a good trading partner.

If we got Mayo in the draft I'd keep Mo around. Most of us agree that next to a playmaking guard, Mo would be pretty lethal. Mayo's a solid (pesky is a better description, maybe) enough defender that he alleviates at least some of the issues we see on that end.

But if Mayo goes in front of us, I'd like to get Outlaw and their pick.

Mayos stock is on the rise. We would have to take him with the 7th pick, but I like the trade.

I wouldn't be shocked if Mayo is gone before we pick at 7.

I wouldn't either. But it's possible.

I think these guys are locks to go before Mayo:

Beasley
Rose
Lopez
Bayless

after that who knows?

I could easily see some team falling in love with Jordan's upside and Gallinari's versatility. A lot will depend on what Love measures out at, as well. If he's 6'10" in shoes he's a mid lotto pick, no doubt. Gordon was ranked higher than Mayo almost the entire year on various draft sites; he's younger, just as good a scorer and brings more athleticism.

Again, who knows what'll happen.

With Miles' impending departure from the Blazers, their interest in Williams might not be as high as it once was. With that in mind, their cap space plan will overshadow a lot of things, and Williams might be one of those things because of his long contract. Another problem with Williams is his current BYC status. And if you guys want LaFrentz's expiring contract, it'll have to wait until after the Draft when he exercises his PO on the final year of his contract.

Anyway, as you can see, quite a few things complicate matters.

Portland also won't be willing to take on Gadz contract or Simmons' contract.

Portland and Milwaukee simply don't make good trading partners because of LaFrentz's deal.

If we could turn Mo into Jack or Webster plus Kevin Love (I know that you see bust, but I see Boozer) I'd be all over that.

I havent trade checked this so others may need to be involved, but I'd do something like this:
Blazers Send:
Jack
Pryzbilla
Outlaw

Buckis Send:
Mo Williams
Dan Gadzuric
Perhaps Dez if needed

The Pryzbilla that is around now, is a guy that would be a great defensive presence behind bogut (or sometimes alongside him).

Outlaw gives us some athleticism on the wing which we need, and Jack can be a big pg to compete with Bell and Sessions for playing time next year.
