Playoff roster elgibility

Post#1 » by oldschool1 » Sun Mar 23, 2008 2:56 pm

Bobby Jones was recently released by the Miami Heat. If the sixers sign him, will he be elible for their playoff roster?

Bobby Jones was not waived (released) by the Heat, actually. If he had been waived after March 1st, he would not have been eligible for the playoffs.

He had signed a 10-day contract with the Heat. When that contract is over, he is no longer a member of the Heat, he is a free agent, but there was no need for the Heat to waive him.

So if the Sixers would sign him, he would be eligible for their playoff roster.
