If we can somehow pursue Mihm not to pick up his player option, and let DJ walk after the season that would give us some salary to sign Kwame.

With that said I don't know if Kwame would want to come back to the Lakers after the last couple of games he played for us.

Here's a guy that we can resign to backup Bynum for $2-3 million (hopefully), and we'd be stupid not to jump on that. DJ gives us what Kwame gave us? WTF are you people smoking?

i don't think anyone thinks dj's giving you equal skill............but the soft mentality that kwame is all about is just pure crap to have on a contention team.
look anywhere else/take a chance on anyone else than the feable minded Kwame.........................Don't do it Mitch!!

Kobot wrote:oh god... please no more kwame... please!!!

these are things we need to do before we even think of re-signing kwame...

1. extend bynum

2. re-sign sasha

3. re-sign turiaf

4. get rid of mihm

5. find something to do with luke

DJ mebenga is fine... the guy is unpolished, but he has tons of upside and he's cheap cheap cheap...

unless kwame wants to play for free, I don't want him anywhere near staples unless he's tearing ticket stubs for fans. he stole enough money from the laker's org.
Well put Kobot...........thats exactly what needs to be done, and what is this boards fascination with players that not Lakers anymore. The only ones I don't mind reading about are the ones that actually produced and help won titles. Players who don't fit that criteria I don't worry about.

i would be ok with the move if it happens, he won't be making the money he is this year so it won't that big of a deal if he's bad(which is likely to be the case) but he's good on defense and you can't have enough of that

Even if you forget the fact that Kwame means Bynum possibly coming off the bench because somehow Phil that thught was a better option and he would take minutes away from Ronny as well HE WAS A CANCER. Now I don't mean locker room cancer or he made the team fight but his lack of basketball skill and talent made him a cancer because everytime he was on the floor the Lakers were a worse team.
Bringing Kwame Brown would be the dumbest move possible and I do have faith in Mitch so I am not worried about it.

u still living in 06-07? when both were healthy, kwame was coming off the bench.

and he would take minutes away from Ronny

only because ronny is better suited to play pf, not center. ronny has a hard time matching the physicality of true centers, something he has said repeatedly in his recent interviews. kwame doesn't get pushed around by anyone in this league.

as well HE WAS A CANCER. Now I don't mean locker room cancer or he made the team fight but his lack of basketball skill and talent made him a cancer because everytime he was on the floor the Lakers were a worse team.

of course the team got worse. u didn't expect for kwame to replace bynum and the team not to miss a beat did you? thats insulting to bynum and his talent. kwame being judged on how he performed as a starter is completely wrong. guy doesn't even start for memphis, yet he was routinely starting for the lakers (due to injuries and youth).

im glad Kwame experiment is over.
let him be somebody else's dilemma.

we can always find a contributing veteran for spot-up minutes, be it Mbenga or guys like Skinner, Ratliff, etc.

i bring him back for the minimum or so for sure.. hes a better backup C than Mihm or Mbenga.

Fisher/Farmar
Kobe/Machine
Odom/Ariza
Gasol/Turiaf
Bynum/Kwame

One issue i can see is the Lakers not being able to re-sign The Machine, Turiaf, AND Ariza. They need to move Luke if possible... otherwise one of those 3 will be gone for sure..
