End of Season Awards
A month out from the end of the season, what are your current predictions for the All NBA teams/ Defensive teams/ MVP/ ROY etc?
NBA 1st team
Paul
Kobe
LeBron
Stoudemire
Howard or Duncan?
2nd team
Nash
McGrady
Pierce
Garnett
Duncan or Howard?
3rd team
Billups
Iverson
Carmelo/ Nowitzki
Boozer
Camby/ Okur
Some tough decisions this year with the west dominating. Hard to leave Nowitzki off but Dallas haven't really reached their expectations this year IMO. Also Denver probably don't deserve 3 representatives so maybe give Okur or even Rasheed Wallace a nod.
MVP: Kobe Bryant
ROY: Al Horford (if Atlanta makes the playoffs) otherwise, Kevin Durant
MIP: Hedo Turkoglu over Mike Dunleavy, Al Jefferson and Monta Ellis
NBA 1st team
Paul
Kobe
LeBron
Stoudemire
Howard or Duncan?
2nd team
Nash
McGrady
Pierce
Garnett
Duncan or Howard?
3rd team
Billups
Iverson
Carmelo/ Nowitzki
Boozer
Camby/ Okur

Stoked to see Turkoglu getting some respect, he got stiffed with no All Star invite while Joe got one, and also left out of the 3 point shoot out...
Childress needs some consideration for 6th man, he's played well.
Gay for MIP too...Monta hasn't stepped up THAT much...
I think All NBA will be
Paul / Kobe / LeBron / KG / Amare
Nash / McGrady / Duncan / Boozer / Howard
Iverson / Roy / Pierce / Dirk / Camby
I have a hard time putting 3 Nuggets in there with NO Pistons, considering the Nugs will most likely miss out on the playoffs...I think Roy deserves it, he's carried that team in the mold of Drexler the low-key superstar...

MIP Monta Ellis? So he'd win it 2 years in a row?
MVP Lebron
DPOY Dwight
ROY Durant. Yeah seattle suck, but imagine how bad they'd be without a 20ppg scorer like Durant.
MIP Hedo. Would have been Bynum...
6th man: Ginobili, if he qualifies. Barbosa if not.
This years 1st team will be the easiest decision ever.
Paul/Kobe/Lebron/Stoudemire/Howard. If its not that i will be most surprised.

Speaking of MIP: what about Udrih? This guy has like trippled his old stats and made Kings fans forget that Bibby hass even been around.
Nothing against Turkoglu, he's a great player, but after this season Beno deserves it more IMO.

Definitely. Beno is certainly going to be right up there, I forgot all about him

He's the first one who came to my mind whenever I thought about the awards, since he's having such a great season. Guys like Turkoglu, Dunleavy Jr. or Gay definitely improved, but this guy wasn't even a good role player before he came to Sac-Town, and now he's a pretty good starting PG - that's definitely award-worthy IMO.

MVP: Kobe/Paul - if either team win the West, if not, LeBron
DPOY: Duncan. It's an injustice that he hasn't got one yet
6th Man: Barbosa...by default that Manu has been starting more...
MIP: Dwight...then Turk then Gay
ROY: Horford..Durant's disappointed me to be honest...I was expecting much more...he is only 19 though!

MVP: Chris Paul
DPOY: Kevin Garnett or Duncan as someone said. But Celtics have become best defensive team since KG got there.
Sixth Man: Manu Ginobili
MIP: Turkoglu or Kaman
All-NBA 1st
Paul
Bryant
James
Stoudemire
Howard
All-NBA 2nd
Nash
Iverson
Anthony
Garnett
Camby
All-NBA 3rd
Davis or Williams (Davis is putting up huge numbers also)
McGrady
Pierce or Nowitski (but injury could push him out)
Duncan
Kaman or Chandler (Kaman was a shoe in till he started missing games)
ROY: Durant by default. But I'd vote co-MVP with Horford
