I doubt he is a factor in our winning a championship with the limited minutes he'll see in the regular season, he wont have time to gel with the team. Besides, his greatest weakness is also our greatest weakness...lack of upper body strength (and lack of size). If he has a knack for rebounding and being agressive defensively, he might see some minutes.

You want to put money on the line ?

Why don't we put our avatar or signature on the line ?

If he is an impact player , which I know he will cos he is hungrier now.
He will work hard in practice to show everyone how talented he is.
I "watched him play a lot" .

I am all for putting signature on the line.
If I loose, I would say "CyKo was right, I wear wonder woman underwear"

If you loose, you would say "superemxguy was right, I wear wonder woman underwear"

You would have this sig for 2 weeks.
Deal ?

I would say he would have on average 7 points and 5 rebounds and 1 blockshot comming off the bench.

What I am trying to say is that this guy is like Mikki Moore.

Who has been in and out of NBA like Mikki Moore.

He just happen to be at a bad frachise at the wrong time.
He is playing behind Chris Bosh for couple of years when Chris Bosh was still booming. And at that time, the Raptors are in turmoil.
This is a steal by Darrel Morey.
I believe this guy will make 3 million after playing with the rockets like Mikki Moore does.

Trust me, he is not Juan Howard, this guy can "Block Shot" and score as well.

He's a mid-range shooter on offense, mostly.

He is, first and fore-most, an excellent offensive rebounder, especially for his size (guys over 7 feet are usually relatively weak rebounders because of mobility issues).

He's not a power player by any stretch, he's quite soft on offense but he rebounds well and he contests and blocks shots. He's foul-prone but it won't matter in limited minutes anyway.

He's a crappy FT shooter, but not totally worthless given that he's a center who shoots over 64%, though that's career and he was terrible the last two years he was in the NBA (with Toronto).

Anyway, as a backup signing, he's cheap, he rebounds, he blocks shots... give him 10, 15 minutes a game and he'll produce. I was always miffed that we didn't re-sign him, to be honest. He's got huge flaws and such but he's still a valuable deep bench guy and in your no-Yao situation, he's better than Dale Davis, IMO.

Tyler, man... you are very knowledgeable, are you a reporter or something ...?

i remember when loren woods was on the raps. He was nothing spectacular and played garbage minutes. The only thing i remember about him is when he made a monster dunk that got everyone on the bench jumping up in disbelief. But this happened when the raptors were winning by like 25 points in the fourth quarter.

Heh, no, I'm not a reporter, I'm just obsessed with basketball, lol. And like I said, Woods played on my hometown team for two years, so I got to see him a lot.

You know, I'd completely forgotten Mutombo was still playing on the Rockets; that's maybe the best thing for Woods because I'm sure Deke will help him out, try to teach him a few things.

I hope he turns out well for you guys, if only as a deep rotation player.
